ICU Rounds: I don’t want to brag about myself but 2 days ago I managed *without giving albumin* a septic patient who was on norepinephrine 0.32 mcg/kg/min & vasopressin 0.04 u/min & had albumin of 1.5 g/dl. Today he is off pressors. Who could imagine? #foamed #foamcc #meded

@brian_rifkin Yes whenever eyebrows arch at 80mg being a “big dose” I always bring up the 500mg. Actually saw this box in real life last year!Had a patient go abroad for a few weeks and came back with that.

@MemesNephro I have told many an intern about 1 gram lasix dosing. It is harder to convince the nurse and pharmacist that it is a reasonable dose.

Intern: The nephrology consult says to try a higher dose of lasix. Attending: OK, does it say a specific dose or schedule? Intern: 1 gram/24 hours Attending: 🤯🤯🤯 What ⁉️💦💦💦

@hswapnil @Dan_Batlle 💯 agree. Most of my favorite people on social media wouldn’t even be allowed on Roon! Between twitter and bluesky we allready have too many social media sites. We need fewer social media sites, not more.

It is nice to have a platform physician-to-physician uncontaminated by other distractions (soccer being a possible exception!)
