@misteaz79 Blaming extracts for criminal behavior is, and has been, damaging the pro-kratom movement. Government will use that as an excuse to ban everything, and they absolutely know the difference but don't care. They want control and revenue by creating new criminals.

Again, this is not Kratom behavior… “Officers also viewed another video recorded Feb. 13 allegedly showing the man stealing packages of mitragynine pseudoindoxyl, a legal chemical derivative similar to those found in kratom. Kratom is a tropical tree whose leaves contain chemicals that produce stimulating and opioid-like effects” Police arrest suspect in gas station burglary appenmedia.com/public_safety/… via @appenmedia

@KaiSchwemmer I work with disabled people as a CNA. I call my mom once a week and go for walks. I also take kratom regularly -- for that, you would destroy my life. Gfy.

Most importantly: I am NOT a libertarian, I am a conservative. I believe the state absolutely can and should be used by virtuous people to decrease and disincentivize vice, making it easier for good people to live good lives. The religious morality we have had since the nation's inception is crucial and should be protected. "Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other." - John Adams

I’m sorry, WHAT?!? A sexual act involving an INFANT by a 24yo and possessing child sexual abuse material gets you a 30 days suspended sentence in Utah. MAKE IT MAKE SENSE. To make matters worse, Judge Catherine Conklin said she doesn’t “think Mr. Johansen is a danger to the community in any respect," and the former Ogden Police Chief spoke in the defendant’s favor saying that the defendant “could be trusted with anything we asked him to do.” We don’t hate the establishment enough. This is the message the state is sending to pedophiles in Utah, that they will get a slap on the wrist for unspeakable harm. Makes me sick.

⚠️ BREAKING: SALT LAKE COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE COVER UP IN PROGRESS ⚠️ @SLCO_Sheriff REMOVES citizenship & country of Birth, and ALL inmate identifiers off of the Salt Lake County Jail Inmate Lookup as of TODAY- 2/27/26. Taxpayers can no longer search inmates in the county jail and see any kind of basic identifying information on criminals. It appears my Hammer Reports- presenting the FACTS of who is being arrested, and for what, in our community- has struck quite a nerve. This comes after SLCo Sheriff quietly removed age, sex, race, and city of residence off the daily jail roster on 2/10/26, just two weeks after I began doing my Hammer Reports daily. An average of 42% of arrestees are caught and released daily- sometimes upwards of 66%- and the Sheriff's Office is protecting the basic identifiers of arrestees/inmates at the cost of the safety of the taxpayer who deserves transparency. After @RepubliKate read my statement to the @SLCo_Council on 2/24/26, with SLCO Sheriff Rosie Rivera in attendance, the Sheriff's Office updated their website citing 2025 GDPA, 2025 GRAMA, & a 2022 Internal Policy as to explain their recent decisions to hide critical information from the taxpayer. ⚠️*nowhere in these Utah codes does it explicitly the Sheriff's Office is legally required to censor this information from the taxpayer* ⚠️ They took it a step further today by removing this information off the jail inmate lookup. Now when KSL, KUTV, ABC4 says "a Man" committed a crime- we can't even verify his sex, because that is being hidden now too. Why is our elected Sheriff Rosie Rivera censoring criminal details from the taxpayer all of a sudden, after a crime victim and resident of SLC began shedding light on crime in the community via a data analysis? Please call your local representative and let them know this must be remedied immediately. @slcmayor @slcCouncil @ChiefBrianRedd @Clancy4Utah @VoteTrevorLee @KariLisonbee @UtahVote4Matt @mschultz_12 @gopTODD @danmccay

🚨 KRATOM BAN ALERT 🚨 New ban threats just added: Illinois, Kansas, Tennessee, West Virginia, Wyoming. Other states are also moving fast. Across the country, lawmakers are pushing bills that would criminalize plain leaf kratom consumers, while confusion around synthetic 7-OH continues to be used as an excuse to ban the entire plant. Some states are advancing Schedule I bans, others are repealing Kratom Consumer Protection Acts that were already working. California regulators are seizing kratom products without any actual ban law in place. Connecticut is moving toward a Schedule I ban unless legislators stop it. Georgia, Iowa, Kansas, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah, West Virginia, Wyoming, and Ohio all have active efforts that could make possession a crime. Important note: commenting online isn’t enough. These bills only change when lawmakers hear directly from constituents. Calls, emails, testimony, and showing up matters. This is happening fast. Even if your state isn’t listed, bans spread state by state. Speak up now before it’s too late. 🌱✊

Most political arguments are simply negotiations over who gets to wear the boot. The irony is that almost nobody doing the arguing ever actually wears it. They imagine they do because they endorse its use. They cheer when it is pointed at their enemies. But this is only a comforting fiction. They have no real say over how the machinery moves once it is built. They do not decide its targets. They do not control its incentives. They cannot pull it back when it turns, and it always turns. The deeper irony is that the people who actually wear the boot do not care what the crowd thinks it is doing. They are not animated by your moral narrative or your sense of justice. They will use whatever justification is available, left, right, moral, technical, emergency, to keep their grip. Your argument is disposable. The boot is not. And the final irony of it all, the more damage the boot does, the worse off everyone becomes. Centralized planning and force degrade information, incentives, and trust. It creates errors that compound, backlash that hardens, and control that grows cruder as it grows larger. Tyranny often arrives to applause. Over time the applause inevitably fades, but the permissions remain, embedded in procedure, policy, budgets, and authority. Unfortunately, the endpoint is always the same. Liberty dies.

We are living through a moment where a group of people do not just disagree, they do not even acknowledge a shared fundamental reality. There is no common frame of reference, no mutual set of facts from which discourse can even begin. They can watch the same video, from multiple angles, and walk away convinced they saw a completely different event. They exist inside a narrative so deeply entrenched that to question it, to even acknowledge a contradiction, is to commit some sort of ideological treason. This is a deliberate, conditioned immunity to contradiction. It is a cultivated resistance to evidence. They have developed a mind so thoroughly welded to its chosen reality that it will alter, discard, or fabricate whatever it must to maintain coherence. They can be shown, in real time, the unraveling of their worldview, and they will patch over the holes with fantasy rather than face any doubt whatsoever. Politics has turned knowledge itself into a partisan weapon. The expectation is no longer to seek truth, but to defend your team at all costs. There is a lingering obligation to have an opinion on everything, to be informed at all times, to adopt the correct stance. And so, they improvise. They adopt prefabricated opinions handed down by their faction. They fill in the gaps with instinctive loyalty rather than demonstrating any semblance of independent thought. The game is rigged, and they know it. Two parties, two choices, two sides that everyone is herded into, and neither is worth the loyalty demanded of them. But to acknowledge this would be to admit powerlessness, to admit that they are trapped in an illusion of choice. So they cope. They retroactively justify their allegiance by turning their side into something righteous, infallible, and necessary. The alternative is too terrifying. It is a coping mechanism turned mass psychosis. And it is escalating. When reality itself is dictated by allegiance, when loyalty outranks reason, when every fact must be bent into submission to fit the tribe’s chosen narrative, the outcome is inevitable: war. When factions exist in separate realities, they cannot coexist. They cannot negotiate, they cannot reason, they cannot even comprehend the other side as anything but a threat. This is irreconcilable. We cannot function like this. A society cannot sustain itself when its people are no longer individuals but ideological husks, possessed by abstractions, fighting battles for masters who do not even know their names. You are not your faction. You are not your party. You are not an extension of a collective mind. The moment you outsource your thinking, the moment you allow yourself to believe that your side must be right because the alternative is unbearable, you have ceased to be an individual. You have become another interchangeable pawn in a game that does not need you to think, only to obey. Wake up. This war for reality is not one you want to be drafted into.
