Michigan Climate Action Network came to Mackinac to oppose the Line 5 oil pipeline.

🚨🚨This attack on the @EPA workforce is unprecedented in scope and scale.🚨🚨 The result could be a severe slowdown or shutdown of our work protecting human health and the environment in the Great Lakes.

These employees work on getting the lead out of pipes or enforcing environmental laws like the Clean Water Act and the Clean Air Act. They work on turning contaminated land into usable land. They work on Superfund sites, cleaning up toxic pollution. Firing them hurts YOU.

The evidence is clear: climate change is already causing more severe weather events. Hurricane Milton caused "at least 20% more rain & 10% stronger winds" than a similar storm in a world without global warming. The time to act is now–before it's too late. nytimes.com/2024/10/11/cli…
