@FrontRowGrunt If each team needs 3 tightheads with 2 in the 23 and 1 as a backup, we will need 30 capable TH’s in the province. (URC, Currie Cup and CC u20, Maties, UCT, UWC - VC and YGs, CPUT in the Varsity Shield. Simply not enough talent to go round unfortunately.

Provincial U20 tournament kicks off at same time. As does Varsity Cup, which is really going to suck hind tit this year ...

Certainly plenty rust, and the rain in Mbombela and Bloem didn't help, but the rugby in the opening weekend of the CC wasn't too bad. Now a tournament quite obviously about exposing young talent, which is not the worst. What happens when URC kicks in at same time though?
