This is one of the best playoff debuts ever.
Wemby's been unreal. Brilliant 3P shotmaking in various ways, one-of-a-kind vertical spacing, doing work out of the post, all while transforming the game defensively. Wouldn't expect anything less from Wemby, but it's so impressive.
@WorldWideWob All jokes aside idk why players don’t just take it to him. So what if he blocks it? 95% of the time they’ll get the foul call and it will most likely end up in him adjusting in some way that ends up opening the paint a little more. Kind of like a reverse “hack a ____”
@TreeStickman@MarzTalksSports I'm not disagreeing wit you I'm just explaining why he gets no criticism
No one's criticizing a role player with 2 championships he played a part in
Every year people get shown that '3nD' wings who have no creation skills bleed a ton of value in the playoffs yet people swear they are a valuable commodity
@96_lions9719@benjprocte@Flexington87@UsherNBA I don't have to live there to know about the fucking Pistons and Lions or the damn Detroit Tigers😂😂 Y'all not cared about enough lmao no one is waking up and chanting fuck Detroit
@Midzilla16k@benjprocte@Flexington87@UsherNBA You don’t live here. You have no idea what the national media says about us. We’re never given credit for anything. And when we fail everyone says I told you so. We’re a top 12 market in the country and treated like a backwater town.
@kawhi_ring He’s legit only been good against Jokic anchored defense, Luka defense and “two way player” Ant. Can’t rely on Jokic and Luka to save ur efficiency & rTS every year
@Flexington87@96_lions9719@benjprocte@UsherNBA I mean Detriot as a city
He's making it seem like people are hate watching Detroit teams in every sport just because it's Detroit
The only cities this applies for is Boston and Philly
@Flexington87@benjprocte@UsherNBA I don’t think we will tbh. It’s obvious we’re really a 5-6 seed. We can’t win at home, it’ll be Magic probably in 5. Everyone clowns on Detroit on in every sport, everyone gets excited when we get embarrassed, so it is what it is.
@Jacobtheclipper Why exactly do we accept that he's the best guard in the league? He's not the best scorer, not the best passer, his team is stacked and wins without him, subjectively he plays a disgusting brand of basketball. You can factually point out his efficiency, that's about it.
The reason OKC is so hard to beat they have a hive like mindset on defense.
You might beat the first guy but you are NEVER safe. Their rotations are so crisp allows the first defender to catch up and block from behind.
All 5 guys locked in 🔒
Special🔥
Shai led a 140 offensive rating with 0 turnovers against a top 3 turnover generating team and got to the line 17 times which put both Booker and Brooks in foul trouble and allowed their defense to get set in the half court. far from a bad game
@Midzilla16k@FrancUnderwoods@1alvo_lad@realtalkejlt but even if both players are putting up all time numbers while one player has that value impact over the other u dont think thats enough to say that players been better throughout that course of time
@Midzilla16k@jayspartan20@MarzTalksSports the choker comes from 3-1 and game 6 of 2019 but i also feel like everybody has bad clutch moments, ik 3-1 is really bad but to my point i feel like everybody has bad clutch moments but bad clutch shooting is just a lie x.com/GameOnSteph_/s…
I think theres 2 main reasons the 'playoff dropper' tag has not been attributed to SGA.
1) Hes won
2) People inherently believe that his playstyle is designed to be resilient in the PS and not subject to volatility so they believe the evidence to the contrary is coincidental
@dgr63w3@jayspartan20@MarzTalksSports I don't agree with it thats why it's in quotes but that's definitely a reason a lot call him a choker
Plenty of memes and jokes made about how you don't have to worry about Steph if it's a game winning attempt
@dgr63w3@jayspartan20@MarzTalksSports Inefficient is one word I've never seen use to describe Steph
The chocker term is attached to him from his "bad" clutch shooting and his infamous blowing a 3-1 lead
@jayspartan20@MarzTalksSports steph just had horrible PR lmao he was always good
7.8 rTS% in 2015
7.8 rTS% in 2016 (even playin thru mcl and ankle injuries
13.0 rTS% in 2017
3.6 rTS% in 2018 (came back after over a month off grade 2 mcl injury)
7.8 rTS% in 2019
5.4 rTS% in 2022
@MarzTalksSports I dont like doing the playoff dropper "tag" but his game def is not the same.
Its not to say he is not good or is not important to these wins bc he STILL is an elite ball handler, gravity generator
But Harden never dropped this bad
