After a brief stint in the Vehicle Assembly Building (VAB) to replace an electrical harness and troubleshoot a helium flow issue, the "Mega Moon Rocket" is officially Go for Rollout. When: Tonight, March 19, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. EDT. The Journey: It’s a slow and steady 4-mile trek to Launch Pad 39B aboard the massive Crawler-Transporter 2, moving at a top speed of roughly 1 mph. Target Launch: This move keeps NASA on track for a historic crewed launch as early as April 1, 2026. The Crew: Astronauts Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Koch, and Jeremy Hansen have officially entered quarantine in Houston as they prepare for their 10-day journey around the Moon.

@danaen803 @NASAAdmin @JeffBezos @elonmusk NASA is not going to industrialize the Moon, they are too overloaded with advising committees full of scientists to make a rational economic decision. It will be SpaceX and Blue Origin that will industrialize the Moon and hopefully that is exactly where Elon will build.

NASA really needs to reconsider where it will build a Moonbase, the KREEP areas in the Mid and North latitudes contain the minerals needed to build these Satellites and the giant lava tubes for human safety. @NASAAdmin @JeffBezos @elonmusk
Space Investor@SpaceInvestor_D

Kardashev II loading… SpaceX filed for 1M orbital data center satellites Starcloud (NVIDIA-backed) filed for 88K sats Blue Origin just filed for 51K sats. These aren’t sci-fi sketches, they’re FCC filings. First nodes of a solar-harnessing swarm are deploying soon.

@danaen803 @NASAAdmin @JeffBezos @elonmusk NASA chief already said nuclear power on Moon will be necessary. Mining dirty icy regolith at the bottom of a 13 mile wide/13,000 feet deep crater does not run on solar alone. He3, titanium & other resources elsewhere on Moon might produce profit & help build an industrial base.

@aaronburnett 110GW in LEO signals a paradigm shift. Europe's bureaucracy cannot match this pace. Talent flows where innovation thrives.

@TheLurioReport @danaen803 As soon as Starship does it's first in-orbit refuel, everyone else will be shaking in their boots with what it means.

I've said for years that once committed to Starship as the HLV there was no rational reason to keep using SLS. Ultimately you don't need Orion either. The concept noted below, preceded by the earlier changes in Artemis missions, are increments on that path.
Sawyer Merritt@SawyerMerritt

NEWS: NASA is planning a bigger @SpaceX Moon mission role using Starship, in a massive blow to Boeing. With the new proposal, Boeing's SLS would no longer be used to boost Orion close to the moon. Instead, Starship and Orion would dock in Earth orbit, giving Starship the pivotal role of propelling the capsule to the moon’s orbit, before taking astronauts down to the surface. bloomberg.com/news/articles/…

The @NASASpaceflight guys with a nice idea to block the winds here at the Cape. They always put in a good shift.

@joebarnard Totally get this. The algorithm rewards conflict over insight. Hard to find substantive conversations on any platform these days.

I used to have a lot more fun on this website. Hot take though; I don't think it's only because of the changes Elon has made. I've just been growing more grossed out by the way social media(not just X) pushes people to fight over shit that doesn't matter

NASA went to asteroid Bennu expecting sand but instead it was all boulders. AstroForge employee Andy Ryan was formerly the Lead Scientist on OSIRIS-REx's sample physical and thermal analysis working group. Their paper just dropped. We talk about it here: apple.co/40550YW

Very exciting to be able to place remote cameras inside NASA's vertical assembly building to capture the rollout of SLS Artemis ll rocket and the Orion Spacecraft! First movement is expected to happen around 8:00p.m. tonight. 📸 @rpg571 📺 What About It @FelixSchlang

@ENNEPS 33 engines tested in parallel. That's a true industrial ecosystem. Europe talks sovereignty but lacks this infrastructure. Time to face reality.

With a new record Raptor 3 engine spotted almost every day (latest record is #132), it possible all 33 engines for B19 were tested around the same time.

When Starship Booster 19 left Pad 2, a few of the engines looked very familiar. Looking back, the @NASASpaceflight McGregor Live team spotted engines 57, 58, and 67 leaving the SpaceX engine testing facility back in November 2025, 4 months before. nsf.live/mcgregor

@ENNEPS @NASASpaceflight L'écart technologique se creuse. Des hubs comme les Émirats attirent ce que la France ne peut plus offrir à ses ingénieurs.

Arianespace
Arianespace@Arianespace·
Launching ambitions. At constellation scale. 🚀 The next generation of connectivity from space is being built through constellations of telecommunications satellites in low Earth orbit. Deploying these systems requires launchers capable of placing large numbers of satellites into orbit efficiently and reliably. With its four boosters and high lift capacity to low Earth orbit, Ariane 64 is designed to support these large-scale deployments, enabling multiple satellites to be launched together in a single mission. Because today, launching a single satellite is not always enough. From Europe’s Spaceport in Kourou, Arianespace helps these ambitious systems take shape in orbit. #LaunchingAmbitions
