I'm going to go ahead and say 89 just based on how games media typically scores. It's the same game but expanded on. It fixes the issues critics complained about back in 2013, such as tailing missions, modern day interruptions, "basic" combat... All whilst having beautiful visuals. It even fleshes out characters who originally had unfinished arcs, and critics are going to love the new officer questlines. Also the removal of hidden blade combat won't matter to them as it does to diehard AC fans. I know I always nitpick cutscenes, but outlets usually don't care about that stuff as much. I can see it scoring high.

Random late night thought: Is there another franchise in gaming that's squandered as much potential as Assassin's Creed? Think about what this franchise has in its hands. A sci-fi story built around a machine that lets you relive the memories of your ancestors. An mysterious ancient civilization that existed long before recorded history. Powerful glowing artifacts capable of controlling entire populations. A secret war fought in the shadows between Assassins and Templars that spans centuries. On paper, it sounds like one of the most ambitious concepts ever created for a video game franchise. Yet somehow, after 19 years, it feels like Assassin's Creed has barely scratched the surface of what it could have been. When a franchise is built on concepts this ambitious, the end result shouldn't feel so restrained and safe.
