So my mom and sister wanted to come over today for dinner, right? I told them I’m making spaghetti. They asked with what else? I said salad and garlic bread. They said, “and what meat?” Baby, the ground beef is the meat. My sister said I been on my side of town too long. I’m sorry 😂😂
I’ve made a separate meat a handful of times.
Is spaghetti a main dish or a side in your home?

@snufflewort Also, coming from BC note that Santorini and Mykonos have very little vegetation, it’s very desolate! Corfu is very lush!
English

@snufflewort We did a cruise from Italy, Croatia and Greece, 10 ports. Corfu was all of our favourites…easily!

I’m trying to plan the trip of a lifetime for the spring. Post-chemo, post-surgery. I am hoping to find a beach front hotel with a pool in a small town in Italy or Greece. I find using Expedia very frustrating. Does anyone have recommendations? #fuckcancer #travelblogger

@criminographer Just horrific. I’m so so sorry for another immeasurable loss

It is with great sadness that the family announces the death of Tracey Morroll (nee Sutherland)(known as @cherrymorrello on X/Twitter) on Monday 8th January 2024.

@KayeSteinsapir Banff in December could be quite cold. Banff is very touristy but if you want a “Canadian” experience then I would highly recommend Canmore instead. It’s an authentic Canadian experience vs. Filled with a ton of overseas tourists. It’s only 15 minutes between the 2 towns

I’m so excited that we have upcoming trips to Canada and Ireland, where we have ancestral roots but have never visited. We’re visiting Vancouver and Banff in Dec,, Dublin at the end of March. What should be on our to-do lists? #TEAMMOLLY 🇨🇦 🇮🇪

Q: Where is being told you look like a garbage truck a sincere form of flattery?
A: In the best and most important job ever.
In honor of Labor Day, I want to take a moment to uplift our nation’s early childhood educators.
If you take anything away from my posts at all, let it be this: the years of early childhood are uniquely consequential.
The period from prenatal to five is when the fundamental architecture of the brain is wired, ideally setting children on the path to longterm success in school and life.
But we have a giant mismatch between the science and our public policy when it comes to how we support and compensate our young children’s teachers.
Did you know that the median wage for preschool teachers (in child care settings) is only $13.22 an hour - less than we pay most fast food employees? Teachers who work with young children in public school settings do a little better, but still worse than their peers working with older students.
This is, in part, because we persistently fail to recognize what I’ve tried to use my timeline to help illustrate: that learning begins LONG before children enter kindergarten.
If we want to maximize brain development - and minimize the long term costs to society caused by our failure to do so - we simply must focus on the supports needed by adults, both in and out of the home, who do this hard, but joyful work.
Put simply, our nation’s early childhood workforce deserves better. And our children need them to be trained and compensated like the literal brain builders they are.
On this Labor Day, I thank early childhood educators. And hope you’ll do the same.
This video offers just a quick glimpse of the joy of working with preschoolers. What else is entirely green and AMAZING? A garbage truck, that’s what!
Thank you for the work you do, Ms. Glenna. (🎥 glennacolleen on TT)

@A_Research_Guru @LibbyMbc Gutted 💔I met Libby and Violet and JR by chance one day after chatting on Twitter for 2 years. I was able to give her a hug. I’m thankful that she isn’t in pain and suffering anymore, may she rest in peace

My beautiful, brave, sweet, generous, loving friend @LibbyMbc has journeyed on. This incredibly ugly disease has taken her beautiful light from this world, leaving her Violet without her Mom.
While we have watched Libby endure some of the worst experiences this dx has to offer

@stage4wisdom @gunthilde_zoll This is my daughter but literally we have 2 chihuahuas and they’ve added so much to our lives…we’ve had 5 dogs in our married life. It’s 100% tags best idea 👌💕

@gunthilde_zoll I imagine they going are so well behaved it goes with me everywhere! I dream of being a paddle boarder and this little dog will ride along. I will go on a bike ride and they will ride along in a little basket.
This little one represents everything I’m not. Just part of the dream

Being told i have weeks to months to live has been hard on my pshyche and my soul. I wish so badly things could be different. I want so badly to see my baby girl grow up, but its not possible. The last 4 years have been hard but this last cliff my health has fallen off has been a surprise. I really didnt know i was doing as poorly as i was. Now i have been dealt the final card in the deck. No more treatments. No more hope. I will try enhertu a little longer just in case the liver mets and leg mets we saw were from fhe time when i didn't recieve treatment but if that isnt the case i will be on hospice. My dreams of seeing my little girl grow up shattered when i found out the news and i cant stop crying since.

English

@LibbyMbc I can’t help but thinking back to the regret you felt the last time you had surgery on your leg, missing out on some extra Chemo. Sending you lots of prayers your way for some peace with your decision.
English

@CherryMorrello I just bloody love your stories! I check in multiple times a day to see how you are. I’m in western Canada, my parents are travelling to the Cotswolds in 2 weeks, very excited! Wishing you a peaceful day! Thank you for sharing your stories with 12.7K strangers & smoking at dogs😜

Well, it’s 6:30 am, woke up four times in the night for pain relief. I’m fed up. I spoke to the nurse last night about my new pain and she said she’s going to write it on the handover notes to the doctors today for them to come and explain to me what’s actually going on. I woke
