Could any Eng teachers share their approach to teaching students how to independently read and understand an extract to put them in the best possible place to start then answering the questions for Lang P1 or P2?

Scrooge’s miserliness isn’t only social — it’s personal. He lives in darkness, cold, and isolation. This isn't someone who lives lavishly and needs to share it around: his life is as empty and joyless as his moral outlook. What is the significance of this?

@theoneharbourne I have attended AQA CPD about the 2026 changes. I did have contact with AQA at one point to clarify forms in p2q5, & they said it can still be all types. If you tweet @AQAEnglish they are great and will confirm the latest.

@MrBruffEnglish Morning! Have you ever attended any AQA CPD around Lang Paper 2? I have essentially disregarded the 'Text for a Leaflet' and 'Essay' transactional writing because they have never appeared. Do we have it confirmed that it is just an article, letter, or speech?

I get this question a lot, and yes I am sure! November 2017 was two narrative options. You will not ALWAYS be able to choose between narrative and descriptive in AQA P1Q5.

@MrBruffEnglish @FunkyPedagogy I loved Lang at A level. GCSE back in 1995 had a genuine difference between the two. Now it’s a small amount of original writing with unseen literary analysis
