I'm loving this idea for so many reasons.

@MrErstein @pbcsd Because the governmental bodies work for us. Public schools still hold a financial monopoly on our kids. The "safety" decision was poorly made. At the least the days should be made up. They are now down 4 days this year.

@mrossfinancial @pbcsd I didn't see "student" or "staff member" in your reply. It seems that you are fortunate enough to not have been negatively impacted. Why is it necessary to criticize a governmental body that made decisions for the safety and well-being of its staff and the community it serves?

@MrErstein @pbcsd The us here referred to the people who live in our area (in this case PB County). The answer to your question is Parent, taxpayer, and interested citizen.

@mrossfinancial @pbcsd With all due respect, it's unfair of you to assume that students and staff were not affected by those storms. To whom are you referring when you say "us"? Are you a student or staff member in @pbcsd ?

@pbcsd Any word on making up the now 4 lost days of instruction due to two storms that didn't effect us? Or is the school year now 176 days? Perhaps we could start with adding back M-W on Thanksgiving week.
