The super-rich want to keep getting richer. To get their way they buy access and influence. Wealth shouldn't equal power in a democracy. Labour must curb the grip of big money on our politics.

If Labour wants to rebuild trust in democracy, it must confront the growing influence of extreme wealth on our political system, writes @NeilForPoole. tribunemag.co.uk/2026/03/big-mo…

I’ve called on the Government to ban the “givers and takers” - donors who bankroll political parties and land Government contracts. It stinks. We need to break this link and restore trust in politics.

I voted against raising tuition fees. We can’t keep piling debt on young people just for wanting an education. We all benefit from an educated workforce. Students shouldn't be saddled with a lifetime of debt for getting one.

Great news that greyhound racing will be banned in Wales! Pushing dogs to their limits for entertainment and profit leaves many with life‑changing injuries - and too often an early death. Westminster should follow suit and call the last lap on greyhound racing.

The super‑rich want to keep getting richer and influence our politics to get their way. We need to tackle the corrosive influence of big money and empower working people to rebalance our democracy. Defending the right to protest is key to that. tribunemag.co.uk/2026/03/big-mo…

Defend the right to protest ✊ Ordinary people only get heard when they organise collectively. Putting barriers in the way of protest only serves the elite. Labour should be empowering working people - not taking away the tools they need to stand up to the powerful.

The changes to Settlement Rights will hurt all of us. The value of our economy isn’t in bankers or billionaires. It’s workers, wherever they're from, who keep Britain moving. Our Government shouldn't break it's promises to those working hard & contributing to our country.

Labour must declare war on poverty and inequality. One step is implementing the socio-economic duty so public bodies consider poverty in everything they do.

Punishing migrant workers won't solve our problems. They never caused them. Migrants didn't break the NHS - people from across the world staff it. Migrant workers didn't make households poorer. It was the super-rich taking a bigger share. We need solutions, not scapegoats.

Ministers said Motability changes wouldn’t impact disabled people. @TransportForAll has compiled testimony from disabled people that calls this into question. I’ve written to the Government with 70 organisations raising concerns. Ministers must listen to disabled people.

The public believe in fair play: hard work and playing by the rules should matter. Migrant care workers do vital work, often in tough conditions for low pay. It’s un-British to rip up the rules & pull the rug from under them. Divisive for communities. Bad for public services.

Poverty and inequality don’t just harm those at the sharp end. They erode the bonds that hold communities together. When people feel the system isn’t working for them - it creates fertile ground for the far-right. We need a bold Labour plan to raise living standards.

The Labour Party was founded to represent working people. Mandelson and other servants of the elite should never be able to use it for their own ends. To expose Reform as a party of the super-rich, we must show we are something different labouroutlook.org/2026/03/04/fac…

Millions of people can't afford to keep the lights on, heat their home or put food on the table. The Chancellor can't just tell us her plan is working. People won’t believe it unless they feel it in their pockets. We need a bold, Labour plan to raise living standards.

We face a crisis of inequality. The gap between the haves and the have-nots is too wide. Inequality fractures society into islands with no shared experience or connectivity. A fairer Britain would be more prosperous and more united.

We’re calling time on collapsing biodiversity. Dozens of species on the brink. Rivers polluted. Woodlands degraded. It doesn’t stack up to look at this crisis and argue for less environmental protections. Our message to Government: Don’t Cross These Red Lines.

Hand-wringing won't protect habitats. Lip service won't stop extinctions. I don't accept the endless chipping away of biodiversity. Enough is enough. Tell your MP: Don't cross these red lines!

Hunters exploit legal loopholes to kill wildlife. I’m concerned Ministers won't review the falconry exemption. A narrow focus on trail hunting repeats the errors of the Hunting Act. We need a watertight ban that removes all current exemptions. End this bloodsport for good.
