@CtrlAltDelrith Bungie have screwed the Destiny 2 playerbase and undelivered so many times and made so many poor decision that negativly affect the game that at this point they deserve to fail and deserve to finally feel the reprecussions of all of their decisions.

Yeah so Marathon's cool and all but I definitely think the numbers are less about the game being good/bad and more about community goodwill. Burning several million players by basically torching a beloved franchise really didn't help, tbh. I can't play without feeling gross. I don't think I've ever been more grossed out at leadership decisions and disrespected as a player than I do by what Bungie did with Destiny 2 for the sake of Marathon, which should not be their focus. I'll say it again: I respect Todd Howard's lying more than I do the systematic destruction of a franchise and years of abuse towards a supportive community. This isn't even beginning to touch on the identity/intellectual theft from Marathon and all that stuff, or the abuse of the Bungie leadership towards Destiny 2 developers. Bungie kinda deserves the failure for how they've acted. That's my hot take.
