@liberal_party This Liberal government almost immediately used it's power to break strikes (ex. Air Canada). You cannot claim to support workers while simultaneously cutting their legs from under them. Leave the government out of the marketplace.

Beware of Nationalism, no matter where politically it is coming from. Nationalism will sacrifice anything, especially you and your neighbour's individual rights for the sake of the desires of whatever "strong men" that rule. It is Authoritarianism all the same.

Restricting freedom of movement is immoral and in a truly just world you’d be able to live anywhere on the planet you desire.

The tragedy that was the Residential School system is a example of what happens when our government does not recognize Canadian's self ownership. With proper protection of property rights, parental rights, and even the right to bear arms this travesty would have never happened.

It would’ve been a lot harder for government agents to separate families and force kids into residential schools if indigenous people weren’t disarmed. The history of Canada is a lesson in not giving up your guns.

@deluracct @LibertarianCDN @LeslynLewis No, but it should be. Honestly, the U.S. constitution is weak as well. Moreover, even a strong constitution requires a society willing to defend it and demand that it be adhered to, which is also where the U.S. has fallen short.

Section 319(6) – Removes the Attorney General’s consent, eliminating a safeguard that prevents political or overzealous prosecutions. 2. Section 319(7) – Redefines “hatred” as an “emotion” of detestation or vilification, a vague and subjective test that could capture ordinary debate or criticism. Together, this expands state power to prosecute speech under unclear rules and with fewer checks on government abuse. There ain't no such thing as a Libertarian Nationalist.

Your Rights are inalienable. Sections 1 & 33 of the Charter allows politicians to suspend and curtain our rights for their goals or their perceived "greater good". We don't just need to limit the use of the notwithstanding clause, we need to abolish it from the constitution.

@LPNational The Libertarian Party does not oppose unions. We oppose compulsory unions. But unionization at its base is simply the freedom of association at work. There's nothing anti-libertarian about collective bargaining in and of itself.
