Second teenage boy who was in the tent the day of the stabbing is testifying now. He recounts that Austin Metcalf asked Karmelo Anthony to leave. Austin was initially not upset. Most Bibles contain maps illustrating where important biblical events took place. You can visit the ruins of cities described in the Bible. If you get atheist, Christian, and Jewish scholars together, they can roughly agree on where the events allegedly took place and confirm the existence of cities and sites in those places, even if an atheist or a Jew denies certain miracles or historical events took place there. Nothing comparable can be said about the Book of Mormon.

1. Why is a divinely inspired text (as Mormons claim the Book of Mormon to be) relying on “the knowledge of the prophet,” and not the knowledge/wisdom of God? 2. They are a contradiction. By saying the fall is “necessary,” it means that creation wasn’t perfect when God created it. Scripture says creation was perfect before the fall. That’s a contradiction. 3. If humans posses the ability “to learn heaven,” then doesn’t that mean they can obtain salvation/a way into heaven on their own? Additionally, “despite all we can do” and “after all we can do” have two VERY different meanings. Joseph smith wrote the BOM in English. Why is there a debate in the interpretation? I’d like to point out that unlike biblical manuscripts, the “golden tablets” Smith used are no where to be found. 4. Early Mormon leaders like Joseph smith and Brigham young taught that black skin was “a literal sign of divine disfavor due to inequity.” If you say that Mormons believe that “all are alike unto God,” then Joseph Smith was wrong and fallible, and my question would then be, how can you trust he got anything right, including the interpretation of the BOM? 5. How does being on a different part of the planet turn 3 hours into 3 days? Location has no impact on time. That argument makes no sense.
