You seem to be one of the few on @MoCoCouncilMD who is really on top of this. MoCo tax base has stagnated. Billions in AGI has left (IRS data 1992 - 2018). Jobs are stagnate. Commercial real estate / office rents can no longer be counted on.

So far, so good! An overwhelming vote for fiscal responsibility over fiscal insanity. A bet ON Montgomery County, not AGAINST Montgomery County. So proud of our broad, bipartisan coalition for a more rational tax system and a better future. #MoCoProud #AistheAnswer #BadIdeaB

@CurtisWalkerMD Yep. MoCo is still stagnant... with a tax base that really hasn't grown (AGI left MoCo in the billions of $$s). Local politicians know this is true but continue to kick the can down the road. This can is now the size of a semi and growing.

@CurtisWalkerMD Higher taxes on an eroding tax base. Definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, expecting different results. MoCo machine, to its credit, didn't raise taxes this year. But that was also because it was an election year. They'll come back in 2021.

Hey, we made it onto the ballot in a #pandemic. We made the local machine pols step up to the plate with a counter proposal. We made people stop and think about the structure of @MoCoCouncilMD and how neighborhoods are flat-out ignored. No matter what happens... we thank YOU

Thanks! Do you support @hansriemer @nancy_navarro and the modest proposal to have a residency requirement of the At-Large CMs? Seems like a modest proposal. 1 each in each "quadrant" of MoCo. Voted down 5-4 in August. Mr. Riemer seems to now support. 🤔

This had to be a real challenge for AP. A lot of back-and-forth on whether to make... "the call".

Why not thank the "volunteers" who helped get @MoCo4QuestionC onto the ballot via their "proof of community support" and signature drive during a #pandemic ...? Oh... Oh wait. Forgot that never happened. Question C was just the machine's way of slapping back at grassroots.

@EvanMGlass @MayorBowser Looking forward to @hansriemer voting IN FAVOR of a residency requirement of At-Large CMs in future. 1 per "quadrant" seems fair. After he voted against such a thing proposed by @nancy_navarro in August. We won't forget and we'll be sure to remind voters / taxpayers.

@EvanMGlass It'll mean millions more for additional CMs and staff. Shouldn't those millions be going to you and the "At-Large"? After all, you "represent" 1.1 million MoCo residents. More then @MayorBowser. And she clears $200k (more then every governor in USA).
