At least my PS5 largely stays at home. Pick your poision.

Sony has provided a statement to GameSpot regarding the PSN license checks: "Players can continue to access and play their purchased games as usual. A one-time online check is required to confirm the game's license, after which no further check-ins are required."

@RamblingOnDeck @Wario64 Steam does something similar as well.
The first time you boot up a Steam game it needs to connect online before you can access it offline. Also, after some updates some games need to revalidate their license.

As an OG gamer I have a habit of jumping everywhere in games, that said, just because jumping Mario 64 is faster doesn't make the game better.
Jumping needs to lead to interesting interactions, something I don't feel Mario 64 achieves.
