Happy to announce that at the start of February, I started a full time role at @BLASTEsports as the Esports Operations Manager for @Brawl_esports. It's already been a hectic but enjoyable first couple of months. But I'm looking forward to our first stop in Berlin in May 🇩🇪

@RiotsZA And any Rassie worth their weight would look at this scene and not even consider it. Judging by how the vocal minority behaves I doubt that anyone is particularly interested in throwing time and money into ZA Esports (except if you already rely on it to pay your rent)

No development is going to happen in ZA esports until the right people/orgs are in place. i.e. We need a Rassie, but we currently have an Allister Coetzee running the most important part of growing a scene (tournament organisation). nothing changes if nothing changes.

@RIVALhusk It's all frustrating. I agree that the moderators are only doing what they're told to do, but Epic knows how bad this situation is and isn't putting extra safeguards in place

Why are the RLCS moderators even there? This is just... wow. What do you mean they can't investigate cheating during the tournament? That's literally exactly what they "should" be doing? Enforcing the rules of the tournament? How bad does this have to get 🤐

My Marathon hot take is that I was wrong about Duos and should've never asked for it. Played around 10 rounds and its just people hiding in corners, buildings or skulking around the edge of the map. That hits different in solos because in solos it feels inherent to that experience and plays out like a stealth game. But in duos that doesn't feel right and its not very engaging at least to me anyway, to be honest its mostly boring. Its easy loot though because most of the people in the mode are clearly scared to properly push engagements and would rather hide behind walls and rocks, so play a destroyer and go for maximum aggression to guarantee kills. But yeah @MarathonDevTeam and @Ziegler_Dev I don't think Duos is it. The pacing of PvP feels really off as a duo and overall I don't think it will benefit the game in general. Solos and Trios feels like a good set. Happy to be proven wrong in the long term though. I'm fully ready to be crucified int he comments though by people who don't like the idea of making friends in the game.

@PorkPoncho In a game that requires aim and coordination to this extent I would prefer to rely on my team mates who I know are competent. This isn't a casual game so making friends online to fill your lobby is amateur hour.

@NoobsliceZA I have the same issue. See the “make friends online” part. Two people I now play with regularly on this live on the other side of the world.

@MarathonDevTeam Any word on the tool cart CyAc contract being locked out?

We have fixed an issue where Rooks were able to load into a run and immediately exit, and they would still receive a bonus sum of credits. This is a server-side fix and does not require you to restart your client. You're going to have to try harder than that, Rooks.
