Local fans defend Carragher with passion, which is admirable. They overrate him as a CB, which is understandable as he’s “proper scouser, proper local legend”. But, when Salah defenders do the same, some local fans criticize and belittle them. Hypocrisy is an art.

Our fanbase baffles me. Granted, 90% of them harping on wouldn’t know Anfield if you dropped them in the middle of the pitch, but we used to handle situations better than this. Yes a change is needed but we’re hounding the man out and now using a guy who left us to do it.

It’s not poor timing from anyone, I did this interview before Salah announced his decision. Then went on the overlap a day after the Salah announcement & brought up I’d put him 6th on the LFC list. The club decided to put it out before I gave away my full list!
