Do find it strange that Croke Park wasn't considered. You would get 40-50k I reckon as a double header All 4 counties well supported and would bring big numbers. You only have to look at Limerick vs Cork a few weeks back

@AaronMaher95 @Cunha_1425 Have you seen the cost of diesel/travelling anywhere at present.. its about time the GAA did something to help the fans and this helps even in a small way.. 3 Munster counties so makes sense to play it in Munster.. Also none of the 4semi finalists need to "experience" Croke Park

Tickets are going to be extremely hard to come by for the League final double header. Cork and Limerick would sell out the Gaelic Grounds on their own. Why not have the 1B final as a standalone fixture on the Saturday evening; and the 1A then on the Sunday afternoon?

@DLynchSport Or the Bank Holiday Monday when there is no GAA on.. a great way to promote hurling on that day... there should be an advantage given to the team that tops the league section so Clare should have gotten home advantage for the final

@noriordan Sure, but coming through a football system doesn’t make someone a citizen. he qualified because he lived in Ireland for 11 years, that’s the only ties to Ireland he has.

A sidenote but only 4 of the 25 players - Jack Taylor, Finn Azaz, Harvey Vale & Sammie Szmodics - qualify through the parentage rule. That's a very low figure historically over the last 35 years or so.

@CareyGercarey @DLynchSport Surely the PPS final is the priority there and the girls play that final on the weekend of 28th. Same as what happened with the Fitzgibbon Cup and Sigerson finals. The intercounty players were released to play the college finals and missed the National League that weekend.

@DLynchSport There's a round of minor camogie championship on weekend of March 28th. PPS lgfa is midweek to avoid clashes with intercounty minor football and camogie. Camogie is on weeknds but earlier in the year. Boys minor doesn't run alongside Hogan or Croke Cup so not an issue.

Hearing that the All Ireland LGFA PPS Senior A final is going to be played in the middle of the day on THURSDAY March 26th. If ever again hear anyone bitching & moaning about equality of media coverage in women's sport, I will be redirecting them to this fact.

He has a difficulty commanding crosses and corners that are high into the box. He is a very good shot stopper. Thought he played well up to the mistake at the end

Our footballers travelled to Ballylanders GAA Club last night for their opening outing in the Leinster Development League against Limerick, with 39 players making the trip by bus on what was a testing night for a game. Despite the conditions, it was played in a great, non-stop competitive spirit by both sides throughout. This Limerick side are proven underage performers too, having won the U16 O’Donovan Shield in 2025. While Limerick prevailed in the second half, there were plenty of positives for this young group on Kilkenny’s first participation in the competition. The aim for Kilkenny is to secure more matches at this standard, giving our players meaningful game-time to progress and develop, and helping build towards the future of our adult inter-county panel.   #KilkennyGAA #GaelicFootball #DevelopmentLeague

@EmilyMaher11084 Not enough has been said about certain players first half display the other evening.. if Andy Farrell had any sense he would have made a chance after 15/20mins and even then if was probably too late.. the post you highlighted is not bullying in any form-people need to toughen up

It very disheartening when someone involved in Sports Journalism does something like this, highlighting and mocking a speculative play like this (when chasing a game), its nothing but bullying and its what a hack would do. Rog rightly called this kind of stuff bullying this week.
