@jaegermedia1 Star Trek: TNG’s final episode was a two parter, and arguably the best trek ‘movie’ of the modern era. Way better than any of the TNG movies at the very least

Is there a single TV show that started strong and actually finished strong? Seems every show eventually ends up getting the Game of Thrones treatment.

I am pretty much the only White American dude on my organization at a director+ level at one of the largest security companies in the world. And anytime an Indian leaves or any other person for that matter they are almost exclusively replaced with another Indian. Its actually incredible that there are no White thought leaders, PM leaders, VP level leaders anymore in these companies. The funniest or saddest part about it is that if you spend any time with them on a technical level, they know absolutely nothing, they are completely inept and are almost always worthless at any part of their job. As someone that also has to deal with customers, it is almost exclusively Indian engineers on these other customer teams. I am shocked and elated when I get to deal with any sort of white American team. Rare and far between these days.

Gonna try to explain this to tech CEOs again: Young Americans are pissed. They feel betrayed. Half have embraced the far right & want to cut off your access to cheap foreign labor. The other half have embraced the far left & want to cut off your head. One side will win. Choose.

Here's the beauty of using @juicebox_work Agents in recruiting: While I'm about to crack open another Peroni, these agents are sourcing candidates a day. 5 agents x 25 candidates a day each = 125 candidates All while I can sit back and enjoy MDW with the fam.

@AdemLuz Your family and close friends will be rooting for you (hopefully) but in reality there are plenty of people you meet in the world (coworkers, bosses, acquaintances, friends of friends etc.) who will not, and may even try to undermine you. Also, sometimes people are just assholes

Everyone is always rooting for you. Your parents want you to be a great son. Wife wants you to be a great husband. Your boss wants you to be a slam dunk hire. Every first date you’ve ever been on they’ve been rooting for you to get laid. Every time you started to tell a joke people hoped it would have a hilarious punch line. Your proximity to anyone is a reflection of themself, meaning the deck is never stacked against you, and your failures are completely your own

@derzum_ The visa restrictions need to include India. There's too many Indians here already doing jobs that are not worth the social cost of bringing them here. Do we really need to pay an h1b or Indian green card holder $85,000 to manage excel when we have American college grads?

While the Trump admin is building up the outflow of migrants by removal and return, USCIS, DHS and State Dept are stemming the inflow. Millions fewer people are coming or staying per year due to visa restrictions on 90+ countries and record low asylum, refugee & illegal entries.

@Teamhumanitygo2 H1b, OPT etc. moratorium and review of all current Indian visas/greencards needs to happen. There's too much fraud and foreigners doing jobs smart American college grads could do. We don't need an H1b Excel jockey or Salesforce admin, seriously

Sama during trial: "I don't think Mr. Musk understood how to run a good research lab" Q: How did Musk's management affect OpenAI's research culture? Sama: "He had demotivated some of our most key researchers... required Greg and Ilya to make a list of the researchers and list out their accomplishments and sort of stack rank them... I take a chainsaw through a bunch and that did huge damage for a long time to the culture of the organization... this idea that you constantly have to show your results and if they're not good enough on a short period, you're going to get fired... that really didn't work for the kind of research we went on to successfully do."

@mhp_guy @Mooserider6 It’s an important consideration. The government before Trump used to mandate a certain % of contracts go to minority/female owned businesses, making it significantly easier for someone meeting that criteria to get gov contracts. I’m interested if she addresses that in your talk

Meet Natalie. She makes six figures a year working one to two hours a week. She has no experience in hazardous waste disposal. No experience in landscaping. No experience in catering. But she won contracts in all three industries. Her first deal netted her $800 profit per pickup over five years. That's $10,000 net profit every year for making a few phone calls and submitting one proposal. Her second contract paid her $11,000 profit in two weeks. Her largest contract was $962,000 over five years. Her subcontractor charged her $700,000. She pocketed $262,000 for work she doesn't even do. What is it? Government contracting. She bids on jobs on sam . gov, finds subcontractors to do the actual work, and captures the spread between what the government pays her and what she pays her subs. The government is legally required to spend money with small businesses. You don't need experience. You don't even need money. You just need an LLC and an internet connection. In this episode Natalie: - Breaks down how she won her first contract bidding on something she'd never heard of - Shows me the exact AI prompts she uses to analyze 20-page government solicitations - Tells me why contracts under $350K don't require any past performance - Gives me the playbook for finding hungry subcontractors who actually deliver Why aren't more people doing this? About 35 senior US lawmakers in Freedom Caucus have introduced new legislation that will reduce the number of H1B from 65k to 25k a year. Furthermore, the wives of H1B won’t be allowed to work anymore. A 3 year freeze on H1B altogether & the so called “body shops” banned.

I built a zero-person AI newsletter business that did $2,000+ in revenue last month. No team. No payroll. No freelancers. Just 4 AI agents running the entire operation (and I spend less than 4 hours a week on it). Here's how the system works: → A CEO agent sets the vision and orchestrates every hire → A Growth Engineer scrapes local news, Reddit, and event venues into a daily JSON database → A Content Director reads that database, curates the best events, and writes every Thursday newsletter in my voice → A Sales Director fields every ad lead, generates ad creative with nano banana, and closes deals over email → All orchestrated through Paperclip AI & powered by Claude Code Spokane Pulse (my local newsletter) now has 6,662 subscribers and a 47.5% open rate, almost double the industry average. Local newsletters are quietly printing money. Naptown Scoop does $320K/year. Wichita Life clears six figures. The model is wide open in almost every city, especially when building it in an AI-native way. If you want the full blueprint and step-by-step walkthrough video, Like, RT, and comment "PULSE" (must be following so I can dm you) I'll send you the exact Paperclip AI company export I use to run Spokane Pulse. You can clone it, swap in your city, and ship.

Trying to watch "Farscape" today, after years of GIRLBOSS ABUSE, is sheer torture! ALL the women bully ALL the men ALL THE TIME. Aeryn Sun beats up, berates, and physically dominates John Crichton constantly, while he just takes it with a goofy grin. Chiana manipulates, lies, and sexually harasses half the crew, especially the guys, with zero consequences. Jool is an arrogant sulky princess who's condescending, whiny, and self-centered from day one. Sikozu is an overpowered Mary Sue who frequently challenges male authority. Even Zhaan, the supposedly spiritual priestess, flirts aggressively and uses her nudity to embarrass men. And speaking of THE MEN: John is the "weak male human" in a universe where every single character is stronger than him. D’Argo is a strong warrior, but is often shown getting beaten by armies, tech, or manipulation. Rygel is "toxic male" comic relief. Stark is treated like a fragile, emotionally damaged object rather than a respected male character. Crais is a ruthless, obsessive Peacekeeper captain but is repeatedly undermined, humiliated, and emotionally broken by the women around him. And Scorpius, is constantly outsmarted, mocked, and reduced to a desperate, pathetic figure by female characters who hold all the real power in key confrontations. And this was 25 years ago in AUSTRALIA! Before Hollywood went to war against men, I loved this show. Now, after a decade of forced "female empowerment," I can't even go near it.

$MRVL cancelled $POET purchase orders after the CFO went out and violated NDA when getting angry. Ouch to Poet, down -46%, this is why I don’t like companies with single customer concentration risk. On the bright side for $POET holders they do have $420m cash buffering downside risk and a few other customers (though Marvell was basically the entire Poet bull case story) It does look like Marvell delayed their own timelines as well by doing this. That being said, the packaging side is easier to design out for Marvell and they still need to source lasers.

Appreciate the X revenue sharing program! I actually end up passing it along to local charities I like, but don't normally share. I'm especially a big fan of local pet shelters, since my dog passed away last year and I'm still not completely over it. And addressing homelessness too, since I did make a lot of homeless friends back at UC Berkeley. At a certain point, you don't need more money. But it does help maximize the positive impact you can have, which is why I'm still on X (and not retiring, which I can do). It just feels fulfilling to live an honest life, be true to yourself, and see how much of a positive change you can make in this world before you go? My goal on X has always been how to help the retail investor the most... compared to traditional models of selling every single piece of alpha to institutions first. Actions speak louder than words, hence why subscriptions are $1 and I publish all my ideas/thought process for free to everyone here (even though I could charge $50). So people can do what I do themselves when I leave one day! In terms of next steps, I thought it would be fun if retail had the exact same edge as Citadel and the other hedge funds? So I was planning on releasing custom LLMs for free (I was a research scientist in the past you know) and using the extra subscription revenue to subsidize compute/data costs. Think it will be fun!
