@akashghosh17 It work same is stand alone motor at that size and configuration but most of the performance depends on winding pattern which can be very different beast on what you want to do.

@ORHEX0 Have you done the electromagnetic simulation of the motor? How will I know the motor will spin?

The Dual-Core BLDC MOTOR is open source on my website now. All the CAD files and parts you need to build are also in the description. It is still unfinished, but I shared it so anyone who wants to build or wants help with design and electronics let me know if you need anything. orhex0.com/project?id=176…

@ORHEX0 I find that PPS-CF(annealed) is stiffer however lower yield strength and slightly lower interlayer strength.

Day 9: I'm not sure about these colors. But I've reworked the beak and added a jaw so it now has 5cm of gripper. Rough forms still, but i think the design is complete. One thing that bothers me still is the antenna. I think it's going to collide with the neck mechanism..

@Chris483879 Right now I’m focusing to make it work and stress test it I’ll work on efficiency later on.

@Chris483879 The outrunner should handle 480-960W and inrunner should handle 760W combined 1700W stable but can be pushed up to 2600W for short amount time

@JacklouisP I think for most part it’s the costs that no one want build very efficient light actuators

Humanoids = stacked actuators. Pure and simple. If you don't understand actuators, you don't understand robots. Actuators are not solved: too heavy, too hot, too inefficient. This is a mega thread on actuator design for humanoid robots, directly from the mind of @GoingBallistic5 Bookmark it for later 👇

@Xaraphim I think the problem is ai still can’t understand physical world even human I don’t think understand physical world really will and there is other factors too but we get there at some point

really wish that the design world was easier to automate so that we could have tools like this but applicable for mechanical engineering i’ve spoken to many people who are working on automating cad and it’s like the same problems keep coming up that being said, calling all swes to switch so hardware so that we can have this in the next solidworks update @blackboxai pivot to Mechanical engineering plz

@ORHEX0 So does your backiron have the slots for your magnets? Or those are 3D printed, and the iron fits around it?

@TwerskyNachum Yeah technically hallbach array is better but cost and assembly is better on back iron standard array .

@aprolixian Yes for isolation so the copper wire don’t get short and help with vibration also you can put same resin after winding
