@horvick @Jamiebgoldberg IMO the best indication of what the change would Mean would be to review how may ballots were postmarked by Election Day and arrived late in the elections before 2022. It’s likely at least some of the he voters in 2022 and 2024 knew the postmark law

Good piece today by @Jamiebgoldberg with state numbers. This would translate to about 1.6% of ballots in 2022 and 0.6% in 2024. Note that the share of post-election-day ballots is higher in non-general elections, presumably due to less coordination/support from USPS.

@Forbes Oregon is 100% vote by mail. It has one of the highest voter turnout rates in the US. Prior to 2022 the ballots had to be received by Election Day. In 2022 the law changed so ballots just had to be postmarked by Election Day. What happened? Return rates dropped slightly

@Acyn I can’t believe she’s this many years old and just found out about motions to quash a subpoena. It’s in the federal rules I’m sure. Or she could read the judges opinion- I’m sure there are citations in that. Hopefully someone will explain appeals
