@mikko Nvidia has a 3.2T-ish marketcap with “only” 60B in projected profit. How does PE ratio between 51 and 74 make sense in the real world? This bubble is going to pop so hard, the shockwave will take the entire market down with it.

@Scalibq @shanselman @mikko You’re correct, I was wrong. I have an MT-32 and SC-55 connected to my retro PC, so haven’t used the onboard OPL in a while.

OPL3 MIDI isn't a thing. Port 330h is the default port for a Roland MPU-401 MIDI interface. Later Sound Blasters and clones had an MPU-401 compatible interface (often only in UART mode, not intelligent mode). Early Sound Blasters only had a proprietary MIDI interface via the DSP, which was not at 330h.

@Scalibq @shanselman @mikko Erm, yeah? Even the Soundblaster 16 had OPL3 MIDI at 330h. I am running one right now in my retro PC. The original Soundblaster has an OPL2 at the address.

@TomP1Bellingham Probably the computer that runs the graphics crashed, and it happened to be a HP Enterprise server, not your average laptop. Well, then you have to wait. And wait. And wait more. You know, the BIOS init and test takes a while. A long while.

@MarceloPA16 Yes! Although speaking with actual real people massively speeds up learning a language. Where it went wrong last time I was in Japan was when I was in a bar (izakaya) talking to an increasingly drunk salaryman. The drunker he got, the less I understood.

2k days of learning languages, here’s to another 2k! The main languages I’m studying/have studied: - Italian - Spanish - Japanese I’ve dabbled in others, but I’m pretty good at these three. :)

@PieterVerhage @BillietFelix @MashadiArash Belasting op vermogen is nooit een goed idee, geen enkel succesvol economisch land doet dat. Vermogen op rendement daarentegen is wel volledig normaal en correct. Maar dan wel daadwerkelijke behaald rendement en geen fictieve sprookjes berekeningen en ongerealiseerd rendement.

Maar als de belasting op arbeid omlaag gaat, dan komt er ook meer geld in omloop en dat maakt ondernemen dan weer aantrekkelijk. Belasting op vermogen is een goed idee als het goed wordt uitgevoerd

@PieterVerhage @BillietFelix @MashadiArash Belasting op vermogen is gewoon regelrechte diefstal, daarnaast zorgt het voor kapitaalvlucht. (Dat is namelijk veel makkelijker als geld hebt… Je verwacht het niet…) Nederland loopt simpelweg leeg met dit soort regelingen de handjes ophouders blijven achter…

@BillietFelix @MashadiArash Ik vind van niet. We moeten veel meer belasting richting vermogen en minder op arbeid. Dit is een goed begin. 1% van de NLdse bevolking heeft 25% van het vermogen
