PCRF AT UIC

Nearly 30yrs ago, before I started @ThePCRF, I brought 10y Nizar for treatment. He lost three limbs to a bomb in #Gaza. Thanks to the thousands of people worldwide who gave me a chance to live of life of meaning and purpose by helping others, poor fashion not withstanding.🇵🇸✌️☮️

This is when I was with some of my brave and noble @ThePCRF staff in our office in #Gaza, who risk their lives every day to provide humanitarian relief for innocent children. And then this is that same office today. Thankfully they are all OK.

I started serving Palestine's children as a writer in the 1st Intifada. I met siblings from Hebron who was injured in a bombing and arranged treatment in Akron. They were the 1st injured kids to come to the US for free care. We've sent 2,000 since. youtube.com/watch?v=lrgGnP…

I've been in wars in #Gaza before, and the feeling of insecurity, that you are not safe anywhere, is a kind of fear unlike any other. Hearing jets or the buzz of a drone overhead creates deep, unforgetful anxiety. God bless and protect my many friends and staff there

This week, PCRF sponsored ENT surgery for four Palestinian refugee children living inJordan. These children required surgeries that their families could not provide them, and were providing them at Sara Specialty Hospital through our One-Time Surgery Sponsorship program. ❤️
