Had a productive meeting in Brussels with @EP_President Roberta Metsola on urgent measures to protect 🇷🇴 citizens and the economy from skyrocketing fuel prices. Key points: ⛽️ Action is needed to curb fuel costs and support the economy. 🇪🇺 Ensuring a functional pro-European governance is key. 🚫 No collaboration with extremist forces (AUR) – a threat to 🇷🇴's future. #PSD remains focused on stability, trust, and real solutions, not austerity! @PSD_RO_OFICIAL

Felicitări cetățenilor din Republica Moldova care au ales să continue parcursul european! Cu peste 50% din sufragii, PAS va putea să formeze un guvern orientat spre valori democratice, dezvoltare și un nivel de trai mai bun pentru cetățeni. Rezultatele votului de ieri demonstrează că Republica Moldova a avut maturitatea necesară pentru a nu cădea în capcana populismului, izolaționismului și regresului. Locul Republicii Moldova este în marea familie europeană! De aceea ne dorim finalizarea negocierilor de integrare până la finalul lui 2028.

Today I met with @MathiasCormann, SG of @OECD, to discuss Romania’s accession. 🇷🇴 I underlined that @PSD_RO_OFICIAL strongly supports OECD membership & the need for balanced reforms, with a fair taxation and social equity at the core.

Astăzi marcăm 34 de ani de la proclamarea independenței Republicii Moldova, într-un context internațional marcat de schimbări profunde în arhitectura de securitate globală. Alegerile parlamentare din septembrie vor reprezenta un moment decisiv pentru parcursul european al Republicii Moldova și un test pentru determinarea de a accelera procesul de aderare la UE. Reafirmăm sprijinul nostru ferm și fără echivoc pentru aderarea Republicii Moldova la Uniunea Europeană. Intrarea Republicii Moldova în marea familie europeană reprezintă un pas esențial pentru întărirea stabilității pe Flancul Estic. Susțin începerea de îndată a capitolelor de negociere cu UE și consider că experiența României poate și trebuie valorificată în acest procesul de aderare.
