@egi_nupe Those remote SW states were not listed there, because, in the first no American ever thought of giveing those states and also most SW people who are American citizens claim Lagos as their states of origin. So there’s no reason for America to mention those states
English

There is no single Southwest state that’s under any security threat and if that doesn’t tell you about the quality of education, leadership and tolerance in these states, I don’t know what you want to hear again. These are also states that are economically prosperous and it has nothing to do with the fact that the President is from that region. It has relatively been like this for a long time.
Other regions need to learn something from this.

Who could have ever thought my dear Kwara State will be on this red list?

@FinPlanKaluAja1 The man that said “na statistics we go chop” he is an economic illiterate

@abikedabiri Be careful what you ask for and what you praise today….. tomorrow may be different

@DOlusegun Be careful what you ask for, you are in power today and you think you can make whatever law/ decisions that you like, tomorrow someone else will be there….

Honourable Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, has directed the Nigeria Immigration Service to immediately
withdraw and deactivate passports of Nigerians who have renounced their citizenship but still carry the documents.
This directive applies to Nigerians whose requests for renunciation have formally been approved by the President.

English

@ShehuSani Let your politicians that keep their families abroad bring all their family members back to Nigeria
English

The Withdrawal of the passports of those who renounced their Nigerian citizenship is the right thing to do.When people decide to change Nationality, their choice should be respected and ensure it’s enforced completely.Trump’s doctrine is clear “If you don’t like our country,go to where you like”.
English

@TheSerahIbrahim You know she is occupying a position that has no relevance in the Nigerian setting, so when things comes up she wants to show relevance by putting mouth so that her useless office is not scrapped. Successive governments have abounded that office for her .
English

@NigeriaStories He doesn’t speak like a professor. He’s one of those local professors that are enbeded deeply in the amoral and corrupt Nigerian system and way of doing things. I don’t value any Nigerian academic that never studied or researched full time in a foreign university

@peculiarpat1 The man that said ….Na statistics we go choppppppp!! What an economic illiterate

Let’s fact-check the president. He specifically mentioned suffering in Kenya.
Fuel prices in Kenya have remained the same throughout the war in Iran. No kobo was added as a result of the war.
However, a liter of fuel there sells for 1,800 naira. Again, while the minimum wage in Nigeria is ₦70,000, Kenya’s minimum wage is a little above ₦170,000. So, Kenya’s minimum wage is more than twice Nigeria’s.
Meanwhile, Kenya isn’t an oil-producing country.
I guess whoever is advising the president either doesn’t understand what is happening out there or gave him the wrong information.

@NewsCentralTV What president Tinubu can not destroy does not exist, see this once promising Lawyer, Daniel Bwala have been totally destroyed. So sad!!!
English

"I have never in my life addressed Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as a drug lord..."
Daniel Bwala says the media has misquoted most of his remarks on various issues, lamenting the decline of quality journalism.

@BwalaDaniel You ,Who once taught as a promising lawyer, has ended up badly. It started when you joined APC during Buhari that was when your downfall began. Sometime I pity ppl like u b/c in a corrupt country where there’s no job everyone joins politics to make ends meet
English

In 2019 he was public about it; In 2023 he was hypocritically private about it masquerading as a journalist; meanwhile he has zero training or experience as a journalist. In 2027, he is wickedly pretentious about it. Social media vitriol, hate and revenue is more important to him than national interest.

@DeeOneAyekooto The kills have been there since and non of his and the other past governors he mentioned have lost a family member. Because it’s the order people that are being killed that’s they are not bordered
English

“Your Excellency, these killings have been here for a long time, I went through it, Dariye went through it, Lalong went through it. Mr. President, I can authoritatively tell you that some people want to use this killing to sabotage next elections but we won't allow them….”
- Jonah Jang Former Governor of Plateau State speaking during an interactive session with President Bola Tinubu in Jos today

@ChidiOdinkalu At last President Tinubu have given Nigerians a quotable quote after about three years in power
English

@JShoremekun @SamAmadi @PeterObi That does not apply because, Nnamani did not defect to APC as a senate president, Dr Sam referred to Senator Nnamani’s conduct and capacity as a senator president
English

About Peter Obi (1)
Today, I start a series about my encounter with @PeterObi to illustrate his excellent qualities I consider critical for transformative leadership.
I am a good judge of leadership character. The week Ken Nnamani was to become Senate President I argued in a Thisday article that Ken would be great because he is a man who reads books and always asks after ideas. I used to buy him books as Harvard student and we discuss those ideas. I know that learning and leading go together. I became his special adviser and we pulled a great success at the Senate.
The same with Peter Obi. He respects ideas and loves to seek it. Once he entered my office, and quickly went to the book shelf to pick up “Why Nations Fail’. Another day we were discussing why Nigeria and Indonesia are growing apart and I told him about the book of the same title by Peter Lewis. He said he was going to meet Peter Lewis and asked for the book to read. He came back with better understanding of the ideas.
If you seek ideas then you can lead better. I made that bet with Ken Nnamani and he was excellent. I make the bet again.
Peter Obi will be excellent as Nigerian president.
English

@MasterBolaji That’s an avenue to get more money for the 2027 election. Satellites my foot!!!
English

Atiku used money and effort in bringing people together in ADC, but one trader is feeling entitled to the ticket of the party.
ADC is dominated by Northerners, they won’t abandon Atiku and Kwankwaso to give Obi the ticket.
Someone should tell Obi to wake up from his dream and pick up the Senatorial form for his Senatorial district.

English

Kwankwaso’s got more political pedigree and a much better and verifiable record as governor than Peter Obi. I understand Obidients being excited. Kwankwaso, atop a ticket with Obi as VP candidate, will help to give the pairing the sort of political gravitas Obi atop wouldn’t. Atiku and Amaechi remain major factors too.

We need to stop trying to create kingdoms in other people’s countries. It really can’t be hard to live by the norms of the countries that we migrate to. And if you want your own kingdom, please return to Nigeria, find your way to your village and ask to have your own kingdom established. Some state governors have been known to establish new kingdoms.
English

@MasterBolaji So, he has not been receiving his salary since the last three years?
English

Yes!
Nigeria’s first president to do it.
He follows Thomas Sankara’s lead.
He’s among the few in Africa to make such a move.
BAT makes history by donating his entire salary.
While people like you find faults in this, he keeps cementing his name in the history books.
Kalu Aja@FinPlanKaluAja1
A year to elections, he remembers to donate salary

Warmest 74th Birthday congratulations to His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR! 🇳🇬
Today, we celebrate a leader of courage and political sagacity. Your "Renewed Hope Agenda" and bold economic reforms, from subsidy removal to exchange rate unification are the tough but necessary steps required to secure a prosperous future for all Nigerians.
True leadership isn't about seeking temporary popularity; it’s about the visionary choices that build a resilient nation.
Anambra State stands in firm solidarity with your administration as we work together toward a stronger, more united, and economically vibrant Nigeria.
May God grant you continued wisdom, good health, and divine guidance.
Happy Birthday, Mr. President! 🎂
