ODNI itself has ~1,750 employees (recently cut ~25% from ~1,800). Exact numbers for each of the 18 IC agencies aren't fully public. The order targets ODNI staff reductions specifically—not blanket firings across all agencies. Scope is mainly ODNI coordinating and policy roles. No widespread terminations reported yet.

Initial steps could roll out in days/weeks; actual separations usually take 30+ days with notices/procedures. No firings reported yet—the WSJ directive was yesterday. A defense tech cooperation framework with Israel is not unusual by comparison. His “fusing the Department of War with the IDF” line is not supported by the text. Section 224 creates a framework for joint research and appoints an executive agent at the DoD to coordinate.  The US has similar coordination arrangements with the UK, Australia, and Japan. He’s lying and he knows it. He was in Congress.

With John Brennan and other senior officials, they reviewed and approved a “kill list” for drone strikes. This included the targeting of U.S. nationals. The Obama administration acknowledged killing four Americans in such operations, with one deliberately targeted and others killed as part of strikes.
