He was finally arrested three weeks after a record $1 million reward was posted for information leading to his arrest. Singh claimed to have witnessed “masked killers” on the beach before fleeing the country in fear they would kill him too. He was found guilty and sentenced to 25 years to life. Every Indian wants to get out of India. There's 1.4 BILLION of them, and the only way to give them 'a better life' is to allow them to completely overrun the societies WE have built for US and OUR children. There are just too fucking many of them - and they're EVERYWHERE. They're clannish, bring new and unique forms of discrimination with them, whenever they're involved in the democratic system, they CONSISTENTLY vote Left (no doubt, they'd vote Right back home) to import even higher numbers of their co-ethnics, they never fully assimilate and ALWAYS demonstrate sectarianism - and that's not even touching on the anti-social behaviour. They have their own country - it's completely unacceptable for India to export their excess population (both young and old) to form voting blocs and harvest resources to send back home in the form of remittances. George Carlin infected Gen-X with this horrible apathy towards everything. The statue doesn’t just mock nationalism but belief itself. Any ideology, any group, any loyalty. It’s like they think they’re the first person to discover ideologies or positions all have tradeoffs, and because they’re not perfect it’s better to stand against them all. It’s as childish as it is false. A few minute conversation with anyone who puts on this front will quickly reveal which ideologies they feel are above such critiques. When exposed that John Stewart wry smile turns into the most vitriolic anger you’ve ever seen.

The first pre-requisite for an anti-establishment leader is that they viscerally hate the incumbent elites. I don’t get that sense from Rupert. I think Rupert wishes the elites had done better than they have but I don’t get the sense he wants a total takeover of the power structures. When I hear @cfdownes_ speak I get the sense he loathes those who currently sit in Whitehall, the City of London, and all the other corrupt elites. Which is why Downes should be made Deputy Leader as a sign that nationalists are going to have permanent representation in Restore and don’t have to beg for scraps from Rupert and his office.
