Last night re-watched Once Upon A Time in Hollywood, also reminded me how it was in the 70's

Amid the angst over the Paramount-WB deal, I'm reminded of this map of Hollywood by Lowell E. Jones. It's from 1947 — the peak of the studio system. A year later, a legal ruling forced studios to sell their theater chains. Zoom in: the studios were almost stacked atop each other.

@Fidelity might be one of the most frustrating sites I have to deal with. Nothing is intuitional, have to search & search & answers not easy to find. It's so bulky. TD's website was so much easier to use.

At this moment, the price of gas in California is $4.63/gallon. This is by far the highest in the nation. It's 23 cents higher than Hawaii, an island state.
It's also $1.65 higher than Maryland, a bluer state than California. Our state's energy policies are uniquely harmful.

Turns out the whole “Inconvenient Truth” wasn’t truthful at all.

An Inconvenient Truth did more harm than good. It misrepresented the science, exaggerated the impacts of climate change, vilified CO2, and scared a generation of young people (myself included!).

I have had more abuse on this platform than anywhere else but I still oppose any attempt by government to ban or control X. It is not their job to protect us from opinions. Free speech means just that, free. Censorship only protects those in power who have something to hide. And that is exactly why they want X silenced. And that is exactly why it must not.
