Islam is not an Abrahamic faith. I am sorry but it is not. That’s just a fact. Abraham and Sarah, long past childbearing age, were promised a son through whom the world would be blessed. When Abraham and Hagar, Sarah’s maidservant, conceived Ishmael, God still reaffirmed that the covenant would continue through Isaac, not Ishmael. “Then God said: Sarah your wife shall bear you a son indeed; and you shall call his name Isaac. I will establish My covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his descendants after him.” (Genesis 17:19) “But My covenant I will establish with Isaac, whom Sarah shall bear to you at this set time next year.” (Genesis 17:21) This promise is central to both Judaism and Christianity. The covenant of land, blessing, and salvation flowed through Isaac → Jacob (Israel), not Ishmael. The Qur’an reveres Abraham (Ibrāhīm) as a prophet but retells the story differently. While it never explicitly names which son Abraham was commanded to sacrifice, Islamic tradition identifies him as Ishmael (Ismāʿīl), not Isaac. In this view, Ishmael is the true heir of the covenant, the father of the Arab nations and ancestor of Muhammad, whom Islam calls the final messenger. This reinterpretation places the divine promise in the Ishmaelite line, not the Israelite one, and thus forms the theological foundation for Islam’s claim to spiritual and territorial inheritance. According to the Bible, that claim contradicts the very covenant God Himself established. Sorry, just had to clear that up for anybody who’s still confused.

I was talking with a Muslim relative the other day, and it got heated. They hit me with a line I’ve heard a thousand times: “Allah would never let a prophet die on a cross.” I paused. Like, are you sure about that? Where do we even get this idea that God’s job is to protect prophets from suffering? Because the last time I checked, prophets have been stoned, rejected, sewn in half, exiled, thrown into wells, eaten by fish, and killed by their own people. So what changed? And my relative said, “It just goes against common sense, bro. Why would God let that happen?” And I said, “that’s kind of the whole point.” It isn’t common sense. It’s divine love and divine mercy. Our minds say: save yourself if you’re aligned with God. But God says: I will step in and die so they won’t have to. That’s the gospel. And the cross will feel offensive because it breaks the rules we created. We want a clean, powerful king: not a crucified Savior. But if Jesus doesn’t die, then there’s no blood, no sacrifice, no fulfilled prophecy. Every altar, every lamb, every feast in the Torah means nothing. That’s the foundation. Jesus didn’t die because He was weak. He died because He was the only one strong enough to defeat death. And the fact that He was willing, that’s not failure. That’s the greatest move of all time. So if you think God would never allow that, maybe it’s time to ask: What if He planned it that way?

The expression " Fa 'Assa" that I highlighted below means it's a supposition, not a fact. As per your other hadith, it's a metaphor meaning that the Hour is near.
