@AV4APod @mozsab I think it’s the lack of singles. I think you nailed it. There is an 80s British Indie 4AD/Creation/Rough Trade British singles chart thing in their DNA and it’s not as present here. It’s heavy and slow, I do think it’ll age well and be rediscovered.

@PodcastRequiem I said to @mozsab "How is Medusa NOT your favorite PL record?!" it's so slow and heavy and doomy with fewer "stand-out" tracks bc its the album as a whole that I think is so superlatively heavy. I don't get why PL fans don't love Medusa more...

Added to his cool cred and then Subhuman Race ruled and I was more open to it because I didn’t associate SR with the other hair metal as much.
