Nigel Farage has turned into Enoch Powell of the social media age. He’s trying to excuse racist disorder and violence against police officers. He’s pushing the politics of grievance and division that goes totally against our fundamental British values of tolerance and decency.

@AlistairCarns Starmer has created more division than any politician I have ever known. I’m still baffled as to why you chose to back him?

Nigel Farage's latest Substack shows he's just a race-baiter in a Barbour jacket. Sowing division is not patriotic in the slightest.

There he stands — the uniformed “servant of the people”, paid by taxpayers to protect and serve. Pathetic. These officers have chosen their side. They ignore grooming gangs, migrant crime, and left-wing violence while hammering patriots. They are not on our side. The people see it. 🇬🇧 (video courtesy of @VanEmmerickKris)

Love seeing the Scottish so passionate about their country. Thousands singing Flower of Scotland before kick off. National pride isn't something to be ashamed of, it's something to celebrate.

Went to observe the ‘Stop The Boats’ protest in Brighton today, along with the ‘Carnival Against Fascism’ counter-protest held in response. For a so-called “peaceful” anti-fascism march, police had to remove scaffolding poles many people in the crowd had armed themselves with. Then Raise The Colours arrived. What followed was utter carnage, (this 5 minute clip edited down from around over 30 minutes). At times, one officer (CP21) appeared to be almost single-handedly holding back the baying mob, as the huge police presence had been positioned elsewhere. @RTCORGUK @TRobinsonNewEra @sussex_police

Woman claims she was drugged and raped in police custody by Greater Manchester Police. CCTV cuts out — she’s left half-naked, distressed, and naked in a urine-filled cell for 24 hours. Andy Burnham’s inquiry was a PR stunt. He delivered nothing. This is what trust in the system gets you. Justice now. No more cover-ups. 🇬🇧 (video courtesy of @GriftReport)

@Porkypaws @RichardBurgon You’d better believe that if I knew I’d be jailed for killing my rapist anyway (despite him being alive, but likely to die soon of his liver problems) then I would absolutely hunt him down and kill him immediately purely for my own satisfaction.

The sentences handed to four young activists for taking direct action at an Israeli arms factory are completely disproportionate and wrong. They've been sentenced for a "terrorist connection" they were never charged with. A clear miscarriage of justice and dangerous precedent.

@NicciHowe @RichardBurgon So we only give them a slap on the wrist incase a harsher sentence makes them commit a worse crime? They deserved everything and probably more than what they got! This sentence might make a future terrorist think before they act!

@Porkypaws @RichardBurgon The concern is that if a protester knows they’ll get charged with terrorism anyway, they might think oh well might as well bomb the whole place instead of just throwing paint and smashing some equipment. Imagine how many police officers would be injured then?!

That people trying to stop genocide are sentenced as terrorists is a hideous injustice. But remember these words, too. This country is headed to naked right-wing authoritarian rule. This precedent will be used to lock up dissidents. You've been warned. Remember it.

Today, four Palestine Action activists were sentenced as terrorists, for destroying over 40 weapons, including Israeli killer drones, inside Elbit's Filton arms facility. Please donate to support those facing terror legislation for disrupting genocide. chuffed.org/project/filton…

@NicciHowe @RichardBurgon You have a right to peaceful protest once you introduce violence it changes to possible terrorism charges as it did here! Burgon is an MP and should know the law, he and people like him are the problem defending the indefensible.

@Porkypaws @RichardBurgon EXACTLY. He should be in prison for attacking the police officer, but he’s not, he’s in prison because of a made up terrorism charge instead. Where’s the police officer’s justice?

@Porkypaws @RichardBurgon No, he’s saying that people should go to court for the crimes they commit after the jury decide they’re guilty. In this case, the jury didn’t even know about the extra terrorism charge that was going to be added later. It’s a dangerous precedent, an erosion of our rights.

The next war won't be won by armies, navies or air forces alone. It'll be won by the country whose 19 year olds can code, whose factories can build drones in weeks not years, and whose grid stays on when someone tries to switch it off. Industry. Society. Economy. That's the fight now. We're not ready. And we're not being honest about what getting ready will cost.

Today four activists face terror-related sentences for taking direct action against an Elbit Systems weapons factory in Filton, Bristol - a factory that makes drones sent to the genocidal apartheid state of Israel to kill Palestinians in Gaza. Back in April, I warned in Parliament that jurors would not be told terrorism sentences could follow a criminal damage conviction. No terrorism charges were ever brought. The proscription against Palestine Action has since been ruled unlawful. The defendants were even prevented from telling the jury they acted to stop genocide. This is a Labour government defending Israeli death factories and stripping away all of our fundamental rights. Everyone who cares about our democracy should be outraged.
Defend Our Juries@DefendOurJuries

BREAKING - @zarahsultana exercises Parliamentary Privilege to expose the unjust nature of the Filton 24 re-trial. UK press has been court ordered not to publish these details. “If convicted, they and 18 others will be sentenced as terrorists, but the jury will not be told that”
