Late last year, the SPLAT IP was acquired by the Labs division of Prota Ventures, with a commitment to a non-extractive model and long-term stewardship. I was in Dallas with the @wirenetwork and @ProtaVentures teams last week. People who want to advance the public good regularly ask me what the highest and best use of their time and talents might be. And after thinking about this long and hard, I’ve come to the conclusion that there’s no better way to serve humanity than pursuing the ambitious umbrella mission of “democratize human flourishing.” A great thing about this mission is that there are so many ways for an individual to pursue it that are specific to someone's skillset, passions, and the needs of the communities they care most about (e.g. radically reduce the cost of quality housing in Denver).
