@MagnumIP The only proper response is “I already look so good.” Hair flip is optional.

@arlvabikelanes @FedEx Disconnecting Canal Road from M Street still seems obvious to me. Geometry/traffic works much better if Key/M and Canal/Whitehurst are separate streets that never intersect. Those few suburban commuters actually trying to reach Georgetown would just need to take the Parkway.
English

I wish we could do this, but m street is blocked most of the time by @FedEx trucks
DC Car Violence@DCCarViolence
Conclusion is M St streetcar from NOMA to Wisconsin Avenue. Then the streetcar turns around and goes in the other direction, and then back again. Massive, earth crushing success.

@KirkSeriousFace Famous names also tend to have egos and tend to spend their time being famous instead of working. I want a GM so overwhelmed with self-doubt they work extra hard to nail the draft. If you haven’t spend 18 hours/day for the last year+ doing talent evaluation, I’m not interested.
English

@KirkSeriousFace Ownership is more afraid of being blamed for failure than of actual failure. Ownership won’t feel as much heat if they hire a big name and the big name fails.

@MavsHighlights Just for fun:
9th - 1 T4 (14.7% v. 20% expected) (#3 pick in 2024)
10th - 1 T4 (14.7% v. 13.9% expected) (#1 pick in 2024)
11th - 2 T4s (28.5% v. 9.4% expected) (#1 pick in 2025 and #4 pick in 2019)
12th - 0 T4s
13th - 0 T4s
14th - 0 T4s
English

@MavsHighlights The 5th, 7th, and 8th worst teams, meanwhile, have been overrepresented since 2019:
5th - 4 T4s in 7 years (57% v. 42% expected)
7th - 4 T4s (57% v. 32% expected)
8th - 3 T4s (43% v. 26% expected)
English

@BigBaller_1309 @MavsHighlights Stayed at 6th - 4x (2023, 2016, 2015, 2012)*
-1 spot - 6x
-2 spots - 3x
-3 spots - 1x (2019)
*Current lottery format was implemented in 2019
English

@ProtestedGame @MavsHighlights How many times since 2011 has 6 moved down
English

@All_Things_Mavs I can’t imagine being a Pacers fan on tankathon.
Also, did you know that the team with the 6th-best lottery odds (currently Dallas) hasn’t moved up in the lottery since 2011?
English

@dalmavsdotnet This would be easier if OKC has actual bad contracts. I'd trade Gafford for Caruso and a FRP, but OKC should have better options.
English

@MavsHighlights People forget we won a ring with DeShawn Stevenson as a starter. There’s minutes available for on-ball defense and the tiniest sprinkle of offense.
English

@MavsHighlights After the trade deadline, I believe that Jones, AJ, Williams, and Nemby were all competing for one spot on next year’s team.* That competition may be down to two.
*Belief based on assumption we use one of three picks on a PG.
English

Curious. I feel he is needed for our current purposes
Mavs PR@MavsPR
The Dallas Mavericks have assigned AJ Johnson to the Texas Legends of the NBA G League.
English

@All_Things_Mavs The fun thing about this draft is that even the worst case lottery scenarios are still exciting. I could get behind Steinbach / Swain.

English

@_LaurenGunn OKC players are too valuable
It’s too late to fit Poetl within the TPE
I doubt Chicago would give up a lottery pick to dump Patrick Williams
Orlando doesn’t have a FRP
Does Cleveland need to dump Schroder bad enough to attach a FRP?
Is Malik Monk the odd man out in SAC?
English

@_LaurenGunn I’ve thought a lot about repeating this scenario, but it’s hard to find a counterparty that:
- Has a dumpable player that fits within our TPE
- Is desperate enough to give up a 2026 FRP to dump that player
English

🔹Absorbed Richaun’s contract and got a FRP on draft night for taking on the money
🔹Then got off the money and attached a future pick for an immediate talent upgrade in Gafford
With their newfound flexibility, I’d like to see them canvas the league ahead of the draft & repeat.
Adrian Wojnarowski@wojespn
The Washington Wizards are nearing a deal to send Daniel Gafford to the Dallas Mavericks for Richaun Holmes and draft compensation, sources tell ESPN.
English

@All_Things_Mavs This is what Tankathon shows in a world where we draft Boozer. If these are the PGs, wings, and centers potentially available around the back of the first round, our second unit is going to be in good shape.
