I’m very confused about the number of people who think “property tax” is a sales tax on you home rather than taxes to pay for public services you use every day. “I paid off my home why do i still pay property taxes?!?!?” Oh, did you also stop using the roads and libraries and sidewalks and parks? Not worried about fires anymore?

Ok. So you hear this woman is going to do a pole dancing routine and you’re instantly turned off. But then… wait for it. I promise. Trust me. This is worth watching. You have learned to trust me by now. Right?

Son is displaying some pretty severe ADHD behavior along with his sensory processing stuff. Pediatrician gave me an evaluation to fill out. Nurse called me back today. Here’s how the convo went. Nurse (super nice): so Dr said it does look like he’s showing some early signs of ADHD. Dr wants to repeat the evaluation in November after he starts school so the teacher can get to know him and fill out the eval. Me: okay and what if we’re homeschooling? Nurse (super rude): uh. IS that what you’re doing? Me: yeah that’s why I said that Nurse (even more rude): okay well if that’s the case then this (the ADHD) doesn’t even matter Me: ……. Like what the heck?? Does ADHD only affect kids negatively when they’re in public school? I hung up the phone after she said that.

When my dad was dying and in the hospital for a brain tumor the nurses were bringing him orange Fanta non stop. I had to intervene and asked if they thought water might be better instead since he was having surgery for BRAIN CANCER the next morning. They said, “Your daughter has a great idea Mr. Clark!” Why in the world did I even have to say that? He’s dead now by way.

RFK Jr. just shared that hospitals were giving diabetics foods like Jell-O and Coca-Cola that worsen their condition. “A diabetic woman… was immediately offered… a Jell-O and a Coca-Cola.” “And a number of other foods that all contain sugar that are all gonna injure their metabolic system and aggravate their diabetes.” “We have the best doctors… and the finest hospitals in the world.” “But… they haven’t recognized the most important tool of medicine today is good food.”

To be clear, I'm not saying ADHD isn't a real concern. I think it is over diagnosed in public school systems due to childless teachers that can't differentiate between boys and girls. That is likely why you're getting the weird response from the nurse. The combination of sensory and ADHD symptoms in your boy points to a higher likelihood he is in fact autistic. Test for that and get him on leucovorine. Vitamin B9 in a form his brain can get even if he has the MTHFR gene mutation, virtually no side effects since it is a vitamin with a different brain delivery mechanism.

@TheLaurenChen This is primarily a white person problem. The nuclear family idea was pushed on people post WWII. People started living in separate homes, which meant more consumption. They started eschewing multigenerational living and the benefits of extended families.

Boomers don't want to hear this, but one of the (many) reasons why my generation isn't having as many kids? A lot of millennials feel they can't depend on their parents for help the way they saw their own grandparents pitch in when they were growing up

@cinemaxwell By "supporting transphobic policies and organization", you mean supporting policies and organizations that are for females.

Rowling is alive and actively donating the proceeds of her books to supporting transphobic policies and organization. Lewis and Tolkien are dead. Plus, being Christian doesn’t inherently mean you’re transphobic. Hope that helps!
Ian Harber@ianharber

Cancelling Harry Potter because of Rowling but remaking/doing spin offs of Narnia and LOTR despite Lewis and Tolkien being two of the most prominent Christian figures of the last century who undoubtedly share Rowling’s views she’s been cancelled for. Make it make sense.

@GeoRebekah The pics of the women, especially Susan Dell & Kimberly Guilfoyle are like 25-30 yrs apart. Have they had work done, clearly, but they've also aged. It does look like Gaetz & Bezos wife have had a little nip tuck recently and some injections, but they both have aged as well.

If there are any academics who study body dysmorphia on this site, I'd like to chat with you about this phenomena. Most of these women were pretty before they did this. Why are these women doing this to their faces and bodies???

I warned Biden and Harris directly: Our silence on Gaza was morally, legally, and politically wrong. We were told it wasn't in the data. That wasn't strategy – it was risk aversion dressed up as wisdom. Democrats cannot make that same mistake again this midterm season.

Spoke with a couple from Columbus, OH. They paid $280k for a home in 2020 & that home is now $475,000. They got a 30 year, 3.75% mortgage. They now have 2 kids, need more space but a new home doubles their housing costs. ...They're trapped & millions are in this situation.

Has conventional wisdom changed? Would what my parents did now be considered 'bad parenting'? Or was that always a reactionary thing to do? I get it's different when they're really little, but I can't help but think it puts enormous stress on already sleep-deprived parents

I've noticed amongst friends who have little kids that they are basically forced into waking up when they do. When I was little I remember v clearly knowing that we shouldn't go and wake parents until at least 9am on a weekend, and generally entertaining ourselves in the morning

@PuckLuck1 @thecavemommy Its not. Who defines affordability especially as its a relative thing. No one tells rich people to have more because they can afford to. You see. Also, people know how fsr beyond they cant go, they dont need to be told

In my opinion it just gets a little weird when at the preteen age boys and girls are sharing a room. I think it’s fine for kids to share rooms - but it needs to be split by gender unless there’s a significant age gap. If you can’t afford a three bedroom house you can’t afford to be fertility-maxxing.
Hamilton 🇺🇸@Watchman_motto

I’m doing my part to solve the fertility crisis. Saw this, thought I would prove it to you. Four kids - one room.

@thecavemommy They're siblings. They're still young. People have had large families in small houses. Telling people to not have more than two kids if they cant afford it is cruel and rude. This may be a vacation house. Again, these children are still young and theyre siblings
