@Machi1Nne Paul was telling Timothy about behavior in the presence of God. We should all be quiet except for the priest and the choir and liturgy. It was referring to being in church. Not "shut the eff up woman"
English

@Ddoomsuper92669 @joshnaa2gez It’s just not what a pagan world wanted to hear. Hebrew scripture is not compatible with their soteriology or cosmology so they had to augment it with brutally enforced creeds and all manner of things Jesus scolded the Pharisees for.
English

@Ddoomsuper92669 @joshnaa2gez And the pagan world took 300 years to amalgamate their ideas into one triune construct that didn’t need to exist to begin with. Were it clear it would not require an ecumenical council. God spells out his nature clearly with no riddles and no linking hidden clauses together.
English

Christians, only when talking to/about Mormons:
“Angels are always a deception and can only be devils because Galatians or something…”
PetGorilla@PetGorilla
Last time an angel stood on top of a temple, he tried to tempt Jesus. Fitting that Mormons would put him on top of their temples.
English

@Ddoomsuper92669 @joshnaa2gez The trinity is a clumsy relic of pagans adopting a monotheism. Anyone at the time of the first temple would have risked execution for the things you are saying.
English

@PurdToaster @joshnaa2gez Is that of the Trinity, which is the distinct person's united in one divine essence. United yet distinct. There were many viewpoints on who God is, but many either denied Christ's divinity, downplayed it as lesser, or removed all distinctions.
English

@Ddoomsuper92669 @joshnaa2gez Yes. So you still have people making babies and they still go to school but when it comes to things people used to have to rely on a priest class we have a close bond with God. Paul is using language to exalt himself when the idea is we are like children, brothers and sisters.
English

@PurdToaster @joshnaa2gez Based on what I've read, the focus of that seems to be less on the "they shall teach no more" and more so on the "'Know the LORD'" quote, which seems to mean a certain kind of teaching rather than all teaching.
English

@CatholicDrip___ “Only God can save you!”
The ever self-important Greco-Roman pagan “I can save you!”
English

@BTweeter87 No, a land of inbred iconoclasts is where this priceless piece of history belongs.
English

@Icontrolth13030 Somebody can be in your life without having to raise you.
English

Yea some of us had parents that took care of us😂we ain’t have to be no gma baby
solé@layxsnv
A whole lot of yall didn’t get raised like this so I get it‼️
English

@Ddoomsuper92669 @joshnaa2gez To the point where if some “fathers” say god is some triune chimera then it must be true rather than things God has made plainly known about himself numerous times. It is the exact kind of idolatry Jesus hated, not the blessed role of being a biological parent to one of gods kids
English

@Ddoomsuper92669 @joshnaa2gez Look he’s asking for humility not Paul to brag about his teachings and brag about his flogging and make himself an authority. God is the authority of creation, and this “father” title has become the exact trash Jesus forbade. A stumbling block for new followers, a gate to keep.
