@UtahDemocrats If that is true, you need to close all the prisons in Utah.

We are grateful to Mayor Mendenhall & the SLC Council for leading with integrity to protect Utahns’ safety, dignity, and vital water resources.
ICE detention facilities are inhumane, strip people of their dignity, and have a documented history of abuse and violence. These facilities have no place in Utah.

@Kronykal If any of those elites had taken a government class, they would know our representatives were meant to be average citizens, not a special class like it is now.

Unless they start sentences with “I’ll you what” I don’t trust the to protect anything.

I need to share this story today. It's a true story about toxic sarcasm and a lesson I learned about kindness and friendship.
There is a drive thru swig style shop at a Holiday near us. When we tried it there was always the same woman at the window and she seemed unhappy to be there and a bit unpleasant.
After going half a dozen times I realized I didn't want to go and experience that so the next time I went I asked her name (let's call her Hannah). I put on my best charm (I can actually be pretty charming). I thanked her for always being so gracious and pleasant and getting our order right (she hadn't).
Part of my intent may have been toxic. I am sorry to disappoint my fans (hey you two, I see you!), but I have been known to be sarcastic. I have also learned if you treat people as if they had performed exactly as you wished they had, sometimes it moves them in that direction. She asked my name in return.
There wasn't a lot of thought behind this, and I didn't see her the next few times I visited. I kind of assumed she'd been fired (she didn't seem like a very good employee). About a month later It was Hannah again and she called me by name with a broad smile. Embarrassed, I had to ask her to remind me of her name again. Hannah gave it to me her name again and I expressed how impressed I was that she remembered mine. She said that I was the only one who had ever asked for hers so she remembered.
Skip forward a few months and eventually recognizing each other by voice alone at the speaker and My wife stopped by without me and with my daughters. She ordered a drink for me which is fairly specific and my wife was asked, "Are you Chance's husband?"
I had mentioned some of this to her so she just said yes and that she must be Hannah? She affirmed this was the case. Then disaster struck, our youngest had been feeling a bit off and suddenly said "Mommy I'm gonna throw up."
Sister jumps out and gets youngest out of the car to throw up. My wife is trapped because of her proximity to the building. Before my youngest is done. Helen is out of the building with napkins ginger ale and saltines.
Guys, kindness always counts even if it starts as sarcasm so long as you follow through. You never know who is behind that sour face until you try to get to know them. Helen is our family friend now.

Read inbetween the lines: Trump is angry and they need to show him something positive.
Zionists are now moving to Pravda, publishing fictional polls so they have something positive to put on his desk this morning.
NO ONE supports this war outside of Never-Trumpers who have always been Israel-First. They are losing the war badly and seek to further delude Trump into believing his base wanted it.

SLC Mayor Mendenhall using this years dry winter to shut down water usage for DHS ICE detention in Salt Lake City.
Her statement ahead of tonight's council meeting,
"Salt Lake City Mayor Erin Mendenhall issued the following statement ahead of tonight’s Salt Lake City Council meeting.
“Yesterday I transmitted a proposal to the Salt Lake City Council to update Title 17 and Title 21A of the Salt Lake City Code, which pertain to daily water allowances for nonresidential uses.
New large water users are particularly problematic due to Salt Lake City’s worsening drought conditions and water conservation needs, which we are already taking action to address. Just last week, I directed Salt Lake City and our entire service area to move to Stage 2 of our Water Shortage Contingency Plan.
As Mayor, a primary responsibility I have is to ensure residents have access to clean water, reliable utilities, and safe infrastructure.
Put simply, a potential high-occupancy facility interferes with those needs. While we lack direct information from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, a 7,500-person detention facility on our City’s west side would likely use 1-2 million gallons of water per day. By comparison, the warehouse recently purchased previously used about 5,600 gallons daily.
Should they be approved, these water usage updates would enact tighter restrictions on all government entities, ensuring that the amount of water new commercial and industrial developments can use is in line with our City’s capacity.”

I am seeking honest opinions on a $15 dress from the 70’s that I found at Goodwill. Although my friends dislike it, I am drawn to its unique character and the historical context of being made by women in a U.S. women’s union. Given its affordability, I would appreciate unbiased feedback, as I want to look beautiful on my wedding day and am concerned that the dress may appear matronly. 👰💫
