I think this is correct. Converts frustrate a certain brand of cradle because they don’t get their cultural message that “we don’t actually take this stuff seriously.”

Progressive Catholics treat Catholicism like an elite club where you’re supposed to wink and nod your way through all Church teachings. Then they see Catholic converts who actually *believe* what the Church teaches, and they panic, for they know no one converts for their brand.

In about 4ish hours or so, my wife & I become Catholic. 🥹 I’ve only been this happy three other times in my life - the my wife married me, the day God blessed us with my daughter, & last year when she brought my grandson into the world.

April 4th 2026, after 30+ years of life, I was confirmed in the Roman Catholic Church, and received first communion!
Crazy to think the beginning of my faith looked way different than it now does.
Thank you Lord for guiding me to where you want me and being with me every step of the way.
