I think you definitely need to consider the payout. On one hand, consoles might be a bit cheaper but your game selection suffers a lot. Investing in a PC gives you control over what you have, how you play, and what you play. Plus, if you have to update it, you buy 1 part versus an entirely new console or consoles.

At this point, I see no reason why to buy consoles period
