The poozooka (totally a scientific term) is a method used by raptors to keep the nest site relatively clean.

@CalFalconCam Three unhatched egg questions: (1) Is it usually the last egg laid? (2) Is it due to non-ideal incubation factors (e.g. squirmy siblings)? (3) Will Annie or Lou remove the non-viable egg from the scrape?

The youngest chick is testing out some revolutionary new acrobatic techniques for getting food. They still need a bit of practice...
So far, everyone is growing very well and look very healthy. All of them are eating well, which is very nice to see at this age.

There might be the very beginnings of a pip on the top egg (bottom right side). A pip is a small crack in the egg the chick makes so it can breath air for the first time. Hatching takes a tremendous amount of energy and is a long, hard process for the chicks.

A great Feburary vacation week ski day @raggedmtnNH We ran into our favourite 5th grade teacher @MsBriselli33 (we should have taken a photo!) and I beat Kevin McCarthy in vertical today!
