Why has job creation and industrial investment stayed concentrated around Bengaluru while North Karnataka continues to lag behind? I explain how historical administrative divisions under colonial rule shaped today’s regional imbalance. Development followed centres of power, while vast regions remained distant from decision making and investment. Even today, major projects often bypass North Karnataka, deepening economic and employment gaps. If Karnataka truly aims for inclusive growth, correcting this imbalance must become a priority. @TheSouthfirst

If other states can have 2 international airports, why can’t North Karnataka get one? Hubballi & Belagavi are ready candidates. Is it unreasonable for North Karnataka to ask for just one? It’s not a luxury demand, it’s about fair regional balance & equal development.

The Karnataka government has decided to develop Mysuru as the state’s second IT city. This move aims to reduce congestion in Bengaluru. Actually, it’s rolling out the red carpet for Mallus!
