Ok, let's leave Israel out of it for a minute. Why does the United States have to accept living in a world where, if CountryX attacks Iran - who, if they didn't coin the phrase "death to America," they probably trademarked it - WE can expect to be on the receiving end of a barrage of ballistic missiles from Iran even if we had nothing to do with it? If credible intelligence points to Iran being willing to rain missiles down on our people due to a strike from CountryX, I mean... Iran is clearly an imminent threat - even if we have just gotten used to living under the shadow of that threat for 46 years.

The only real major advance in power generation over the last 5,000 or so years is the invention, improvement, and scaling of batteries so we can store energy for later use. And even they, if we're being honest, still suck.

Think about this for a second: Our most advanced form of electrical generation -- nuclear power -- does so by... ...boiling water to produce steam to drive a turbine. Nuclear power plants are essentially steam engines.
