All of this is making me think about something. Because the narrative has just been “you pushed out the winningest coach in your programs history” Nobodies asking “Why didn’t the university want Coach Whittingham to stay?” An important question if you ask me. Why the pushback? Just because of commitments to Scalley? I doubt it tbh.

@Loogiesdad I’m more so implying that that I agree with Utah that Whittingham went against a peaceful transition that was required for the money.

Knowing everything I know, I don’t think Kyle Whittingham is going to win this dispute. I actually highly respect Utah for even giving him that $8 million. Could Utah have handled the split better? Sure. But it goes for both sides. (1/2)

@J_batacao Keep the seating at 14,000 with boxes and upgrade the bathrooms, concessions, and figure out parking and shuttles for parking. Then upgrade the teams, and market like gymnastics has to sell all the seats. Have a campus area for food and entertainment nearby.

@B1GRichUte It’s hard to say exactly how it will turn out. While I can certainly see the concern, I know that this has been a tough decision to make for those in charge. I trust that they’ll make the viewing experience worthwhile for fans.

@treyman81 Went to Climate Pledge for March Madness last year. Great stadium, but you can tell it’s not made for basketball. Obviously Utah wouldn’t be building for hockey, so I like the idea.

@_johnleone John, I’m bummed by this news. The Hunty has been great but Utah’s gotten way more than its ROI out of the arena. A renovated HC will likely cost close to building new. And the end result won’t come close to a brand new modern arena. Seems very shortsighted IMO.

Linebacker Johnathan Hall has re-signed with Utah, per his agent, Vic Enwere of Exclusive Sports Group. Hall started all 12 games for Utah, totaling 67 tackles, 2.5 sacks, an interception and four pass breakups. Hall's agent says the deal with Utah makes Hall one of the highest-paid linebackers in college football.
