The Church founders wrote the New Testament. And the Church is the authority that is responsible for canonizing the texts and the same Church kept writing Christian texts for centuries. That Church is the Greek Orthodox Church today. It exists in Cyprus, Greece and Constantinople.
The Orthodox Church defined Christianity.
