Today after Mass, the announcer appealed to everyone to stay back because the church wants to support the children of one of our late members through donations. Young children in their teenage years. The church has been making this announcement for 2 Sundays before today. As usual, some will stay and others will go but this particular family struck me. They didn't bother to stay for a second. This family always shy away from donations like this and the talks have been making the rounds in the church. Meanwhile, everyone turns out for them during their yearly wedding anniversary celebration. I do not think a N1,000 donation would drain their finances. The church should be a place where we support each other. You do for me, I do for you.

Your morality defines who you are. Fame and money don't change people. Because if that's the case, how much fame or money can one actually have to change? How do you measure fame? How much money should change people? Is it N1M or N100M? Or is there a cut-off, let's say a billion naira? If that's the case, does it mean that if one has N999M he won't change because he's not a billionaire? And the billionaire guy will change? You see, that's not right. It doesn't make sense. Your morality defines who you are even after you attain fame and wealth. A lot is hidden in poverty and that's why when former poor people attain wealth and fame, they tend to reveal their true selves which they've buried all their lives.
