I think the average gamer is more likely to notice the shadows looking funky on the viewmodel instead of no shadows at all. You can literally see the shadow of the playermodel Assault Rifle on the viewmodel of the assault rifle, and it bobbing at a completely different cycle to the viewmodel bob.

Halo 4 mods are neat but enabling that thing where you can see the thirdperson shadow on the viewmodel is so distracting. Even more so because the walkcycle for the viewmodel doesn't line up with the playermodel walkcycle, so you can tell it's misaligned

@LateNightHalo I'd rather it look flat and weird rather than have this distracting shadow that doesn't align with the camera position and viewmodel movement animations. It's pretty distracting once you notice the discrepancy

Console exclusives are good because they give life to the platform's brand, they give you a reason to own that specific machine. Nintendo never strayed from this and that's why they're in better shape compared to Xbox and PlayStation. Asmongold is an ape who plays freemium games.

To play devil's advocate here. The reason Sega couldn't find Bayonetta 2 on their own was because Sega was in a financial hole from signing an exclusivity deal with Nintendo.

But that's just from console makers and the companies directly orbiting them. Think about how many 3rd party games got funded by console makers to pad their catalogue. I'd remind you that even games like Bayonetta fall under that since it was pretty much dead after the 1st game.

No exclusivity means (a lot) fewer games and original ideas. You will not get everything as is but ported, you'd get far less and companies would be focused on their biggest IP like you see with every other major 3rd party party publisher such as EA or formerly Acti-Blizz etc.

Oh, no, we wouldn't want to "hold back consumer purchases." People might develop those pesky expectations. Platforms would actually have to compete with one another. Devs might actually have to make an effort to sell their game. All of this is bad because... IT JUST IS, OKAY??

Infinite had INCREDIBLE animations. This is a huge step down.
I’ve also been generally positive towards CE26 fyi, do a little research before painting me with the HS hater brush

Unfortunately, a lot of the new Campaign Evolved weapon animations are quite poor.
We went from Infinite’s animations being quite honestly the peak of the franchise, to these which have regular clipping and odd blocking
