Saw a comment saying SLC should push Delta out of having a hub in SLC and I cannot possibly fathom the reasoning behind that. Delta hubbing here creates thousands of good to great jobs. Not just at Delta but at ancillary companies. It would be catastrophic for SLC to lose Delta.

I worked my ASS OFF at work this month I earned a decent bonus I haven't had a new home console since the Dreamcast in 1999 Wife surprised me with a brand new Series X (physical ofc) I was *originally* going to get a PS5 Pro with my bonus But Sony decided to raise their prices two days ago and I'm just not paying $900 for a PlayStation absolutely not, on principle Sure, there's a few exclusive titles I want to play but I don't care that much tbh Plus I like the Microsoft controllers significantly better even tho I have always been a PS person in the past I really just wanted the ability to play Code Veronica, and the occasional AAA title that isn't available on Switch So a week or so after the Sony accouncement I changed my mind and we agreed once we got a current gen console we would do a Series X It's crazy to have something new for once we have stepped into the 21st century PC Elitists- calm down. The only other planet that is remotely close to the habitable zone is Mars. And Mars is uninhabitable for any complex life because: 1. Atmosphere is basically nonexistent. 2. Temperature is brutally cold. -60C during the day, -125C at night. 3. Radiation is constant. 4. No protection from the environment. Any complex life within our solar system will require extensive terraforming for any given planet to be able to support complex life. As for the rest of the universe, it's strictly statistically possible that life exists elsewhere in the universe. But it is almost certain that we will never find it and it will never find us. Because of this simple fact; it is extremely likely that interstellar space travel is physically impossible. For the following reasons: 1. Speed has a hard limit. You cannot get to the speed of light. If you managed to get close, time would speed up for the outside world because of special relativity 2. The energy requirements to achieve a speed close to light are exponential and insane. 3. Even if you got close to light speed, it would still take you multiple years to get to the closest star. And the closest star is not guaranteed to have any life (in fact it's very likely not to have any). 4. Space is not empty. If you are traveling at some high percentage of the speed of light, even small particles become extremely destructive. A single grain of dust could obliterate a ship. And space is not empty at all. It is very likely the ship would collide with multiple in transit. 5. Humans (and life by extension) are fragile. Deep space has a lot of radiation. You would lose muscle and bone from years of weightlessness. And the psychological strain of confined multi-year trips would be extreme. 6. Exotic shortcuts almost certainly will never work. Wormholes and warp drives are fun fantasy. But they are very, very likely physically impossible for many, many reasons. Even mathematically valid exotic solutions are often physically unfeasible. And this isn't even approaching the problem of sentient, then sapient life. Which is not guaranteed to exist anywhere else in the universe. So, no, there are almost certainly no aliens. At least, not that we will ever see. And not that have visited Earth.
