@wizardofwidgets I wouldnt doubt that this occurs for a second, but I enjoyed Oppenheimer & Sinners for what its worth. People are acting like this movie is the second coming of ET and that I dont understand

@ReelShiftJoe It's not that complicated. It's the same playbook as Sinners and Oppenheimer. The critics and marketers create a narrative that this is a film for hip, smart audiences. People, not wanting to feel left out or dumb, go and heap praise on it as self-validation.

@LegionofComics I was bored watching it & the cringe comedy just took me right out of it. Glad its doing well because its good for theaters & the prospect of more original films but there definitely wasnt anything special about it imo 🤷‍♂️

@ReelShiftJoe It was a really good movie. Solid 8/10. This is what happens in a vacuum tho. People mistake good for great when they haven't experienced great in a while.
