@midrangehoops @BrooklynNetcast @joetsai1999 If we fall to 4th odds, he didnt maximize our chances. Thats in his control. He should be held accountable Like it was in his control last year to maximize our odds which cost us VJ, Kon, or Ace You realize draft involves more than picks 1 & 2 right?

@MizerakPeter @BrooklynNetcast He traded 3 Hall of Famers 3 years ago where are the high end talented players he got in return for it? I don’t care about how many draft assets we have. People already excuse him for potentially missing on some of those picks because they aren’t lottery picks.

There is a lot to control when you are talking about tanking, we still have a ton of assets for the future. If you wanted to fire him for mishandling the big 3 & hiring Nash, I would be with you

I try not to freak out about all of this but, the Brooklyn Nets have one playoff series win the last 12 years. I think it’s understandable to be nervous about not maximizing lotto odds this year. We literally have nothing close to a 1st or 2nd option of the future. We also don’t have our 2027 pick. It’s all or nothing, or we suck for another 170 games before we get a shot at the lottery again.

@PodThorn He’s made more highlight passing plays this year than Egor. He’s always had that in his bag. This season was useful for figuring out which Nets fans really know ball on this platform. The way people talked about Ace was the ultimate barometer for me.

A player has one good game and many of us are ready to build the team around them. A player has one bad game and many of us are ready to waive them.

We can now say that all 5 rookies have had some moments which is good Nets fans are so weird and impatient about development lol realistically we still have no idea what any of them will be, @BillyReinhardt pointed this out Dayron was a miserable basketball player until mid year 2

@BillyReinhardt If we go into next season with Claxton as our starter. The FO hasn’t learned their lesson yet and we will continue to be a bottom 5 team.

Building out the Nets this offseason will be interesting. They have a bit of a roster crunch heading into the offseason. The five 2025 draft picks, the 2026 1st rounder, MPJ, Claxton, Sharpe, Clowney, Mann, Minott, Williams. That’s already 12 players, not counting a potential 2026 2nd round pick as the offseason begins. I’d look out for a consolidation deal. I’d go into the offseason expecting that Michael Porter Jr., Egor Dëmin, and a big are guaranteed to start alongside the 2026 first round pick. I think the Nets need a solid veteran starter for the fifth spot if they want to take a leap next season. Starters should look like: ‘26 1st/Dëmin/MPJ/Vet Starter/Claxton Bench would be competitions galore — Traore v. Saraf for the backup PG spot, Mann/Powell/Ziaire/Minott/Wolf/Clowney battling for the 2-3-4 bench spots and then Sharpe.

@Joe_Martin13 I swear no one watched Ace Bailey play at Rutgers. To blame that guy for his passing issues when he was playing with barely D1 players was so dumb. Guy was and is a stud. Harper and him barely got a chance to play together because of injuries.

Everyone clowned the Hornets, Jazz, and other tanking teams for falling in the lottery meanwhile they all landed franchise changers and drafted ahead of the Nets.
