It’s frankly embarrassing, and an indictment of those that lead us, that gas prices in Canada have spiked to over $2 per litre because of a conflict on the other side of the world. We have, right here in Canada, the fourth largest oil reserves on the planet. Pipelines should have been built 10 years ago. Refineries should have been built 10 years ago. We should have an energy policy that puts Canada, and Canadians, first. This is ridiculous.

something that’s getting lost is the fact that avi lewis got 47% of all saskatchewan donations, and the 2nd highest % in alberta despite rob ashton being much friendlier to fossil fuel development. prairie new dems are not as monolithically pro-oil and gas as people claim!

The NDP’s parent party, the CCF, was born in Alberta and Saskatchewan.
The founding Convention was in Calgary in 1932, followed by the Regina Manifesto in 1933.
With the election of radical left wing wokester Avi Lewis, the party is being rejected even by its provincial affiliates in Alberta & Sask.
A party created to fight for working people in Western Canada now campaigns to destroy the livelihoods of working people in Western Canada.
